Hey guys, just a couple of JC news from the last few days...

James Cameron: Why 'Avatar 2' 3D Will Be Better Than the Original JC will receive the International 3D Society's first Harold Lloyd Award James Cameron Tapped for Inaugural 3D Filmmaking Award JC thinks Christopher Nolan's Oscar snob for directing Inception is a mistake... Kaltxi, Jachyra!
Thanks for posting these links -- I enjoyed reading all this JC-related news. I'm not surprised he's working on improving the film quality for the sequels (I'd expect nothing less, though I had no problems with the film quality in the first film), and congrats to him on receiving that 3D Filmmaking award! And I agree with him that Nolan should've gotten an Oscar nom for Best Director. |

Excellent news - especially finally ditching the pathetic 24fps - this could finally be the end of artificial motion blur and the start of a new era of good quality video and better camera motion :)

That was get news thanks, and yes looking forward to higher fps.

I LOLed at this: "So I diverge from the Academy’s taste in a lot of ways." So do we, Mr. Cameron, so do we...

Definitely. They don't want anything that challenges their politics (and of course, they always dislike scifi in general, only giving a token (and very minor) award to that abrams thing)...

:D We're going to see more of her in that style, since a sequel is underway, scheduled for 2012 - even though there's only a listing of an "Untitled Star Trek Sequel" on IMDB so far, Zoe is listed among the cast as Nyota Uhura. :awesome: Wiggling bare toes, ~*Txim Asawl*~ |
Great news! I actually felt 24fps was a bit hard on the eyes... too laggy. :( Also yeah, Uhura is hot. :xD:

24fps is a huge pain to screencap well in parts, because every individual frame is blurred during any fast enough movement, otherwise then it would appear as if things were jumping between frames with no smoothness. 48 or more should be enough to resolve that (think about screencaps from games and they are much clearer with less blur :) )

Great news. :awesome: Btw - can you imagine the Avatar 2 in 4D? As an example... ;)

Kentucky Fried Movie FTW!!!!
:D I'm cringing at the thought of tsaheylu scenes in Feel-o-rama, though... Wiggling bare toes, ~*Txim Asawl*~ |
