This programme has totally blown me away! I've been trying to capture it before the 30day period (disables itself on your HD) to upload to ToS for you all to enjoy.

Essentially, I didn't even know there were still tribes out there yet to contact the white man or western culture - how happy am I :D Yet, wester materialism threatens their existance on the pretence that they don't exist as knowbody has filmed them...until this programme caught up with a guy striving for their cause. He filmed them from 1000m away in an aircraft to minimise impact and prove to world that indeed they do exist.

YOU have to watch this, you will be filled with joy (once you get past the deforestation bit :()

Really great footage and message there. I'm glad there are still people out there like this. It shows us where we came from and that living that way is still possible, even today.

The words at the end are the best.

"They're the last free people on the planet." And what's sad is that there is a lot of truth to that.

I remember watching this last week on TV. It truly is remarkable that there are still uncontacted tribes in the world - real life Na'vi! It's crazy to think they have no idea that us 'civilized' folk are fighting a battle to protect them. I fear that industry will still get them eventually and they will be forced from their current lifestyles, all the more reason to keep up the good fight and get as many people as possible to see this footage :)

*gasp* There's still uncorrupted people on this planet?! Now we can't be having that now, can we? Quick! We need to go bring them our "gifts" of civilization! Beer n' Big Macs n' blue jeans! How could they have lived without them? Them "savages"...:rolleyes:

Anyway, on a more serious note, videos like these really do give me a lot of hope, that after 13,000 years of virulent civilization, that still small parts of the planet has managed to remain uninfected. They really are the last free people on the planet, and maybe if us "civilized" folks could drop our egos and take a lesson from them, maybe the world wouldn't be in such **** shape.

To be completely honest, I thought it was common knowledge that such tribes still exist :S It's too bad that their way of life is being threatened. The problem, I think, is that people don't know how to be content.

I can only imagine what they must be thinking, looking at that plane from a kilometer away.

I'm also afraid that they'll eventually get hit hard with the ugly side of civilization. They don't deserve that.

I love seeing actual na'vi style civilizations still intact....but at the same time, I fear for the leaking of this information. They are no longer "hidden" from modern civilization. You know people will become (or already are) curious and want to be the first to contact these indigenous people and bring back information about them. This can only lead to one thing: ruining what they have kept to themselves since the beginning. Modern humans will come in contact with them and spread modern germs, diseases, and illnesses. Then of course we all know that more exposure will follow and sooner or later it will become a tourist location.

Yep, I couldn't agree more! Remarkable video footage! I do hope the way of life for these people can be preserved.

I sincerely hope that these people will not be disturbed. :'(
