Just a question

Alright I'm going to preface this. This is not a thread for hate, I believe that this community is mature enough to accept people for who they are. So out of curiosity I'd like to see how many people are gay, bisexual, and straight. You don't need to post if you feel uncomfortable. The poll is anonymous.

Stanley_9875 03-09-2011 06:30 AM

Jeah I'm straight (but jokingly gay) :xD:

Isard 03-09-2011 06:48 AM

Like an arrow.

Ashen Key 03-09-2011 08:47 AM

Bi, generally prefer women, it's online so I don't really care who knows. RL is different.

Marvellous Chester 03-09-2011 10:26 AM

Straight :)

Apollo 03-09-2011 04:14 PM

Women are my taste. Men, well... it's a complicated answer. Since I am a man it's easy to get along with another of my kind, but I don't date them because the situation becomes awkward very quick, and also I don't enjoy same gender sex at all. It's out of preference more than experience, my facts are.

I'll be your friend and a close ally, but not a boyfriend.

*Little Suzie* 03-09-2011 04:33 PM

Straight ;D.

Susano'o 03-09-2011 07:29 PM

I'm straight and looking for ma Neytiri.

Layzie 03-09-2011 08:27 PM

I'm straight although I think some people think I'm gay or bisexual because of how I act or my personality, but that's just the way I am.

And I'm pretty sure bisexual and bicurious mean the same thing. :/

LOVEavatar 03-09-2011 08:33 PM

Straight for "various reasons" ;)

Hunter of the Glade 03-09-2011 08:34 PM

Straight

Bicurious?? That's a new one...lol

No, they don't. It's part of the problem with setting up orientation like it's multiple choice, as opposed to a sliding scale, but being actually bisexual and merely being kinda curious/open, but mostly straight or gay, isn't the same thing.

X.,.Pandora.,.X 03-09-2011 09:07 PM

Straight, other guys are friends, thats it

Dreaming Of Pandora 03-09-2011 09:56 PM

I don't think "ma Neytiri" would appreciate if I was gay. :xD:

josie20 03-09-2011 10:35 PM

Gay, however, I don't adhere to the popular cliches

Tsyal Makto 03-09-2011 10:47 PM

Straight.

CyanRachel 03-10-2011 12:34 AM

I'm straight, and looking for my Jake. :)

That's almost a mirror description of me; I don't sound gay; I sound pretty masculine (deep voice ftw). It's the hand and body movements I have sometimes.

Grif 03-10-2011 02:05 AM

I'm bi-curious, and I don't mean that in a joking way. There are a few guys I would actually like to have a relationship with.

txen 03-10-2011 03:36 AM

I have a feeling that from the perspective of this forum a members sexual orientation is completely irrelevant. Often I have a hard enough time deciphering if a forum member is male or female let alone gay or straight. It's kind of a good thing actually.

Human No More 03-10-2011 04:23 AM

Straight, looking for my Neytiri...

:D Here also. And married twelve years with offspring, so there is circumstantial evidence. ;) Though, as a stone-cold naturalist, I've nothing against any of the other choices. :)

Fosus 03-10-2011 04:17 PM

Another straight here

dstroudswan 11-14-2011 09:16 PM

Bisexual, with very few stereotypical mannerisms.

Advent 11-14-2011 10:03 PM

Bicurious, I'd say. Too much going for me at the moment to worry about relationships.

dstroudswan 11-14-2011 10:30 PM

Trust me, I know what that's like. I barely sleep because of my academics, let alone have a social life :P

Moco Loco 11-15-2011 02:21 AM

<.< Well now that this is revived, bisexual.

Pa'li Makto 11-15-2011 04:37 AM

Straight.

iron_jones 11-15-2011 04:47 AM

Bicurious.. I guess.

Helicoradian 11-15-2011 07:50 AM

Straight

Fkeu'itan 11-15-2011 11:26 AM

About 95% straight to 5% bi-curious, but I voted straight as i'm not curious enough to vote the other way.

Theorist 11-15-2011 11:49 AM

You know what I like to tell people that make fun of gays? I always say "You can never be anything other than bisexual, because you might like women now, but you never know when you might change. So until you're on your death bed, don't go making fun of something you might become."

Gets em sometimes

edit: oh and I answered straight... well because that's what I'm attracted to I guess

dstroudswan 11-15-2011 12:45 PM

@Theorist: That's actually really good; I might use that sometime.

Human No More 11-16-2011 03:47 AM

Seems redundant to be, because it changes the definition. The widely-accepted definition of bisexual is someone who is actively attracted to both. Saying someone is just because they may be at some undetermined future point is like saying everyone is tall because they might become tall at some point.

dstroudswan 11-16-2011 04:00 AM

I agree, but that doesn't mean it can't be effective in combatting gay-bashing straight people.

Human No More 11-16-2011 04:16 AM

Not really - it avoids the real issue. It's a bit like implying that anyone who dislikes gay people is secretly gay - some very well might be and indeed, have in a few cases turned out to be, but it isn't true for everyone, and some people have other problems that can cause such opinions, while implying things about them really just pushes real problems (and therefore their solutions) under the carpet.

dstroudswan 11-16-2011 04:27 AM

You're probably right, as always.

Moco Loco 11-16-2011 06:40 AM

About five years ago, I had a really gay year. My mom flipped :( She always seemed okay with gays until she knew that I might be one.

iron_jones 11-16-2011 07:28 AM

Moco knows who the boy I like is :3

Raptor 11-16-2011 08:52 AM

Straight.

I don't agree with the choice of life that LGBT people choose, but I think they shouldn't be deprived of the right to make their decision. I have nothing against LGBT people, but I admit that they are easy to make fun of. Of course, I don't have any mean or hurtful intentions when I joke around.
