Situation in Libya
del
yes, I fear it will take more than this though...
Gadhafi needs to get out of there--I truly believe he's paranoid and just generally crazy--and then the UN needs to get out of there. I'll stop short of advocating for any particular outcome after that.
Bomb the hell out of him.
I've been following it from day one and I'm grateful to get info from the rebels via facebook. All I can say is that the west finally intervened after weeks of pleading for a no fly zone. I'm worried though, Gaddafi is so bent on retaining power that he would rather take all of Libya down with him then surrender.
It's quite worrying as this situation isn't going to end in a single week or two. Foreign involvement will be necessary for quite a while.
Why is he still alive?
He's in hiding but one of his sons in dead.
BREAKING: Almanara Media confirms from trusted sources that Khamis Al Gaddafi is dead | Libya February 17th |
Someone will rat him out. They always do.
Let's hope, otherwise there will be an even bigger bloodbath then what has been happening for the last few weeks.
Libya should just be the start, what we really need is another set of full blown crusades to secure middle eastern oil and convert Arabic people to Christianity (or at least bring them into the fold of western civilization).
As bold as it sounds, the 21st century will not be one of half measures. |
Yemen and Bahrain need support too. They're being massacred in the streets.

Spock:
I really don't like that idea..I see it creating too much tension and violence. The crusades were a series of errors and we have been held to them by the Middle Eastern people for almost 1000 years. I think people in the middle east should form their own type of democracy, based on the western model of voting ect and we just let them get on with it. Isard: Protests are happening almost everywhere in the Middle East, including Saudi Arabia and Syria. The situation in Libya is seen more in media because it has been viewed as genocide. |

A swift strike with overwhelming force to remove theocratic governments would be the best action, puppet governments could then be installed, these could then secularise the middle east with western values. After this it will be mere decades before a greater western sphere of influence is created. ;) It's all peace and love from then on. |
I suppose we'll have to wait and hope. On a lighter note, Egypt has started it's first election after 20 years or so.
True, but I think I'll concentrate on peace and love for now. ;) |
