Coruscant or Pandora?

Which world would you like to live on, Coruscant, the mega-city-planet of Star Wars or Pandora?

On Coruscant you live in the midst of a vast empire and you can meet and learn from the most amazing creatures from a lot of worlds. Here you can be at the center of things all the time and you can always find something to do or see.
The drawback is ofcourse that there is no natural environment left on Coruscant, only glass, steel, concrete and other artificial materials. You have no wilderness, no wild plants or wild animals, no forests, no streams, nothing, just a desert of man made materials.

On Pandora you have the true unspoilt wilderness, you have forests, streams, oceans and mystical mountains. You have a rich biodiversity with a multitude of exciting animals and beautiful plants. And you have the wonderful unity with the Na vi and with Eywa. The drawback is that you are somewhat isolated, you have few chanses to leave and your knowledge will be restricted mostly to Pandora and its life.

Which would you prefer?

Coruscant. Entire Star Wars Universe > Pandora any day.

You have the argument of knowing too much or knowing too little. Either way, you'll be envious for more than what you know. If I can't wield the force, than Pandora.

Pandora, of course. Why is this even a question?
Star Wars is overrated to be completely honest.

Star Wars isn't overrated.

Definitely Pandora.

And the flamewar is on!

I must say, out of all 'fictional' worlds I have gotten immersed in, Pandora is the one that by far holds the most value to me. I do love Star Wars, and there are many worlds there I find absolutely amazing - but Coruscant is absolutely not one of them.

I have strong, hateful feelings towards civilization, technological development, the eradication of nature... coruscant simply represent things I would never accept. In fact, I'd much rather live on Earth than Coruscant - and that's saying a lot. :P

When it comes to other planets of Star Wars though - some of them would be amazing to live on. ;)

There is no choice.

One of those is like the home I never had.

The other is merely scrap.

Never seen Star Wars.

Haha, I love how much my never having seen Star Wars pisses people off. :-)

this ^^

Its a fairly interesting universe but its not THAT good.

and to answer the question: Pandora

Eltu 03-21-2011 08:54 PM

I love Star Wars - especially the Expanded Universe (novels, games, graphic novels etc.) The computer game Knights of the Old Republic is the grand example of this - few games have ever touched me so deeply as this.

And there certainly are elements in Star Wars that trigger feelings of escapism for me. Still, Pandora has affected me like nothing else, so the choice is easy. ;)

I would say that the SW universe is a lot more vivid and expands a lot more than Avatar's, Coruscant isn't doing it justice.. IMO <--- Do you see that, then thanks.

I'd still choose Pandora though.
