Avatar 2: What will it be called?
 

We know it won't be called Avatar 2. We also know that JC prefers names that begin with T or A.

Suggestions:

Txampay (ocean)
Tìtätxaw (the return)
Tutan (person [male])
Tsamsiyu (warrior)
Taronyu (hunter)
Aungia (sign, omen)

I remember in some old inter when he was asked about a2 he said that it should be named Na'vi, as Jake is now one of the people, but my guess is 'Avatar: Na'vi' or something like this.

Dunno, just being called Na'vi would break the T&A rule, and I'm not keen on Avatar: Na'vi... I guess it could be called The Na'vi (and Aysute [people] in lì'fya leNa'vi)

Those are good guesses, but 99% of people would have no idea what any of those are or how to pronounce them...

How about: ... "Neytiri" :D

Maybe "Pandora."

I seriously hope it isn't named something as cheesy as "Na'vi" or "Avatar: Na'vi". :facepalm: Not to mention anything in the Na'vi language. It's either too contrived, or too hard to understand for others who aren't as focused on the first film. People already knew what the word "avatar" meant when the film was released. The sequel will be titled something that the general population understands immediately.

I'm betting it'll get another simple name that has nothing to do with the Na'vi language (which automatically excludes the word "Na'vi"). There were a whole lot of Na'vi people in the first film, but the plot was centered around "avatars," hence "Avatar." It'll be named what the plot is primarily focused on... and we don't know what that is, yet. So I have no clue what the title will be called, exactly.

I think it may get a name that describes what Jake is or does during the film.

Episode II: Attack of the Clans

My bet would be on "Avatar II". It would be the easiest name to recognize amongst the general public.

But who's the avatar then? Jake is Na'vi now.

Unless the story shifts focus to the remaining Avatar drivers. But that seems pretty unlikely.

I don't think the avatar drivers are going to be a big part of the story as much as they were in the first film... unless they put up a fighting force that protects Pandora or something.

"Crouching Avatar, Hidden Jake"

The ocean isn't going to be big enough to merit a title (and it's too vague). Something about the Na'vi is quite possible though :)
