The music in the Hunt scene actually works really well IMO, the war part that they used doesn't use any of the "themes" that you guys are referring too (it's only used one other time in the movie, not to refer to anything specifically either). And it's also not at the part with the Helicopters so you shouldn't be thinking about that.

They simply used it for the atmosphere that it created, which fits the intensity of the scene very well. The original Sturmbeat hunt music sounds very, very similar to War anyway.

So... sure it's a little annoying, but I don't get why it's apparently such a big deal. But hey I shouldn't be complaining since you guys don't have to do this at all :)

Txonä Rolyu 04-25-2011 08:31 AM

Kaltxì frapoya, Txonä Rolyu here!

If anyone has questions about my lessons or about Na'vi in general, please don't hesitate to ask, it is my pleasure to help....that's why I teach for Avatar Nation lol. I'm just a message away :)

-Txonä Rolyu

DJ Makto 04-25-2011 03:37 PM

Yeah well the discussion about the hunt scene was based off of informal discussions among us about the extended cut and the new scenes--which we all loved and enjoyed. The recycled music topic puzzled us since there had already been a previously composed and recorded viable alternative. Ah well in the scheme of things, the Hunt scene is still epic. :)

Also I would like the give a massive thank you to all the members of Tree of Souls who downloaded and listened to our podcast, and for all the feedback that was posted in this thread and emailed to us. We love hearing what you all think of the podcast, and if you think of any topics that we should cover feel free to email us, or post here , etc. :)

Also the new Avatar Nation website is nearing completion, and will be formally launched soon. Though it is online and you can get a sneak peak of it via the link posted by fellow cast member ExLibrisMortis. :)

Again big thanks to everyone who listened and commented. Feel free to drop us a line anytime. We love hearing from our listeners.

Human No More 04-26-2011 12:10 AM

Episode 4: The countdown to the Seattle meetup is now available for download via the following sources:

Avatar-Nation.net
Podomatic
iTunes

Enjoy!

Special Note: Due to bandwidth issues with our current podcast host (Podomatic) we have had to temporarily remove older episodes from Podomatic and iTunes. All of older episodes are still available in the archive section of the Avatar-Nation website.

Raiden 06-30-2011 08:58 AM

Great!

This could really turn into something cool (as if it already isn't :P).

Keep it up!

DJ Makto 07-16-2011 04:02 AM

I am pleased to say that Episode 5: The Na'vi Language Panel with Dr Paul Frommer is now available for listening and download.

I do apologize for the lateness of this episode, I had to raise the volume of all the questions asked by the attendees to match the volume levels of the rest of the panel audio.

You can hear the panel recordings here on the Avatar Nation website

You can also hear it on:

Podomatic
Podomatic RSS
iTunes

We will have the video of the panel available soon along with the rest of the audio and video from the meetup.

Yes I'm in desperate need of learning Na'vi. Podcast when? (If,when) I get good at it that would be great to not break charater all day. I could drive or on the elipitical, or sleep with it on loop.

Human No More 07-16-2011 07:06 PM

Irayo :)
Will try and have a listen this evening.

Jhake Sully 07-28-2011 02:51 AM

Very nice, I'm looking foward to hearing more.

DJ Makto 09-22-2011 04:41 PM

Episode 6: Seattle Meetups Part II now available

After a few delays and technical difficulties it is finally here.

Featured in episode 6 is coverage of both the meetups that occurred in June and July at the EMP Science Fiction Museum in Seattle. A massive thank goes to our good friend Alan from the Tree of Souls forum for generously providing audio and commentary from the June meetup. Don't miss our interview with creator of the Na'vi language, Dr. Paul Frommer!

The episode is currently only available on the Avatar Nation website here, we are currently having some issues with iTunes that should hopefully be resolved very soon.

Stay tuned, the team will be starting planning and production of episode 7 soon!

Moco Loco 09-22-2011 04:46 PM

Badass, thanks for the update :)

ExLibrisMortis 09-22-2011 09:29 PM

Ladies and Gentlemen, Episode 6 is now available, which includes our second installment from the July 9th meetup in Seattle. Enjoy!
