Black Swan

Is there seriously not a thread for this? I did a search but couldn't come up with one.

Anyway, I just watched and was amazed. Before the movie was even over, I couldn't wait to watch it again.

Never found an interest to watch after I saw the trailer. I mean, I was interested at first, but the trailer made me think, "Wow... this is way too creepy-looking for my taste." So I haven't seen it, and probably won't for a while.

That sex scene cost WIdot a battle. They just kept watching the gif, over and over...

Icu 04-06-2011 04:37 AM

Yep, it's creepy, and yep, you should see it :)

The first time I saw it I wasn't sure what to think. But it was one of those movies that stuck with me for a little bit, and I found myself watching it again a week later. Then again a few weeks after that.

One of my favorite movies of last year for sure. It's not for all, and I could understand why someone wouldn't like it, but I thought it was really intriguing and impactful (not in the way Avatar was of course, but still)

I just watched it again(yeah, I have no life :P). I was pretty blazed the first time I saw it, so I was able to see it from a completely different perspective. I still think it's a very good movie. Probably because I like the idea of going insane. :P

^That analysis reminds me of Shutter Island... is Black Swan similar to that?

Icu 04-07-2011 02:41 AM

It's... more intense :)

Woodsprite 04-07-2011 03:15 AM

You mean more sex-driven? or more action-driven?

Icu 04-07-2011 03:20 AM

Not action really.... it's just darker and more bizarre. Shutter Island was strange but I never felt like I had no idea what was really going on.

Watch it and you'll see. And the sex thing isn't a central part of the movie at all really.

Oh.

...I'm gonna see this, then. From the information you've given me, it sounds like quite a watch. :)

I loved it. But then I love most of Aronofsky's films, right back to π.

Cool, let me know what you think of it.
