Moving out.

Well, the time has come for me to move out of my parents home. I'm moving to a home by myself but still on the farm. That being said I will loose internet access and will no longer be able to get on. I hope though in the future, whether it be weeks, months, or years that I will be able to get internet back.

Avatar really got me interested in moving out of my dad's house. I'm only moving a few miles away but it's still a big step in my life at only 19.

Needless to say I'm very excited. Not only will I be living more on my own but without many comforts like A/C, Sat/Cable TV, and internet. So I am wondering how this is going to change my life. If things in my life improve I may pass on getting internet. I know this sounds silly but I spend my free time on internet and little else and don't know if I will want it back. Perhaps this will be a step in a different direction in my life to explore new things. Maybe even increase my chances of getting a girlfriend :xD:

Either way, I'm going to be gone for awhile, I might be able to get on here once in a great while and check on things.

I just wanted to tell you all that I have enjoyed, more than you know, the times I have spent here, the memories, and lasting friendships I have made here. They will never be forgotten. I have changed so much in this past year in large part thanks to Avatar but also because of the community here where the bonds between one another are strong. We are all brothers and sisters in our own family and that is something that stays with us forever.

I thank you Tree of Souls for what you have given me. I hope someday I can return and see how you have grown.

Edit: My computer will probably be the last thing to go, so I still might show up for another day or two, but maybe not.

Dude - good for you, you're acting on your dream and bringing it to life! Someday I hope to do the same sort of thing myself (living with less modern ammenities) but I commend you for actually just doing it!

I wish you nothing but the best of luck FoW. 'Tis been good having you on here. :)

Ah, leaving the nest...
I wish you the best, FoW.
It's been a pleasure getting to know you and I hope to one day see you back here in the future.

Eywa ngahu, ma tsmukan.

Cool.

Good luck. If you find yourself being bored, I suggest going to a bookstore and picking up some field guides on local wildlife and plants, and then taking them with you on hikes.

You might find that you have some interesting new neighbors.

Oh, there is no shortage of wildlife around, just the other day when I was cleaning my soon to be bedroom I saw 3 rabbits just outside the window, I sat there and watched them for about 20 minutes. They were hopping around and over each other. It was pretty cool.

Nice. I see them around here at night sometimes.

I like insects a lot. I don't see many of the really big/interesting ones around here anymore, but I've seen a couple of European ground beetles out already; I usually don't see many of them until later in the spring.

Sometimes I get lucky and see Katydids and Cicadas around here though. I like the Katydids; they look sort of like aliens from a sci-fi movie if you look at them head-on:

Something else you might try is animal tracking. I had someone teach me how to do it for the animals where I live, and it can be really fun trying to find who lives where and then tracking them down. There are some really good field guides for that too, but I find that taking a hands-on introductory class is better for developing actual tracking skills.

Cool, I wish you the best of luck tsmukan! :D
I suppose this is the first big step towards real independence, one you do this, everything else should seem a lot easier. Luckily you can still visit your dad though. ;) As for the internet, well..Maybe you'll develop new hobbies to do in your spare time. After a while you might not notice not having a computer at all.

It was good having you around FoW... You were always a well-respected and very, very strong part of our family. If only our knowing each other were bound by life and not technology. Nonetheless, best of luck in all that you do and make sure that someday, you return. :)

See you again, ma tsmukan.
