No wonder RDA was so xenophobic about them. You see SadMan in the bushes, you get scared, you turn around and run 50 miles and BAM there it is, another SadMan.

:shock: Noo!!! It's like masses of characters in in lord of the rings, they only look different close up. >.<

I would say that, in-universe, it's probably just because the Omaticaya are a clan, and thus they are all family/related, so there is a narrow gene-pool there (particularly if the population bottle-necked sometime in the past.

But aside from that, heee, yes, I had noticed a lot of them look very much alike, with just little difference to make them as different people.

Nooo! Kind of wish I hadn't clicked on this thread. Hate it when I find something that chips away at my immersion.

I had read and heard that when JC ran across the issue of producing "the clan" in a whole screen shot it was a very, very difficult challenge for them to do. I don't think he and the movie makers has a choice but do duplicate faces in those shots.

Can you imagine how much more time and effort that would have gone into doing all all those clan members in the motion capture outfits and all? WHEW... that would have taken so much time to accomplish that task.

But yes, it seems a little disheartening and bothersome as well. I will just overlook that fact and still continue to enjoy the movie as I always have. ;)

And I agree with Ashen Key as I will try and look it like it is just the way the clan is.

Looks more like they have the same hairstyle than anything else.

Yep. They're CGI; it isn't a surprise...

...but hell, the people who got their faces used a lot must feel proud. :cool:

This ''issue'' will never destroy my overall movie experience, because I just love this movie to much :D But it was very funny to find all those ''third role characters''. We were like; ''SadMan is there, and there and there... Oh and here as well!!! :D

I like the continuity between scenes though - when the two other Na'vi from when Jake gets his ikran can be seen there, staring at him :)

that plant in the lower left corner...i bet they intentionally placed that there :awesome: and guy on the right kind of looks like Tanjala from the game

Oe mllte, the plant was put there just to p**s off the male part of the audience :xD:
