Avatar CD finally!
 

Yes, I've only just got it :) better late than never as I say quite often :P
I've only discovered Avatar Soundtracks on YouTube recently, & was listening to them as if spell-bound. Then I saw some download links but wouldn't risk any techno hickups.

So finally, when I went to Barcelona to see my witchdoctor (I go there VERY rarely, it can be 4-5 times a year) I passed by the biggest record store...
"Any chance you have an Avatar Soundtrack CD? I know it's been a while..."
"Ahem, I don't think so... No, we don't..."
"Is it possible to order it?"
"Yes, sure... Let's see... Wait a minute! Follow me!"
I did. We walked across the whole store. The guy disappeared in the store room.
(The scene was very similar to that in Avatar when, first, Neytiri pushes Jake away telling him to "Go back!" - and then suddenly, for the reasons Jake cannot fathom (but she knows - she saw the sign), she tells him "Come!")

I said in my heart: "Eywa, if you think it's right for me to have this CD - please make the guy to come out with the CD in his hand!"
Lo and behold - the guy comes out with the CD in his hand.
"You know what happened? Somebody ordered it but didn't pick it up, so that's the only one we have".

The only one! In the biggest record store of Barcelona! A year after Avatar!

I said: "Oh, glory! It's definitely my lucky day!"
The CD goes into the bag, me, to the cashier, and then out.
When I walked out of the store... it was like a warm wave washing over me, and then, like my heart was expanding... It's difficult to describe in words, I call it a "hello from Pandora feeling", and it was GOOD. Like, suddenly, in a crowded place, you see a very dear friend whom you haven't been in touch for ages. It's like: "Hey! It's you! So happy to SEE YOU!"

I wish to have this feeling always!:D

But if you will have a possibility to buy the 5CD edition, do so. I get it for Christmas and it's just indescribably AWESOME! :shoop: It's not hard to get it online (it's always available on ebay from user ''visualent'') ;)

@Fosus: it's basic, the first ever. In fact, I asked the guy whether it was a deluxe one, he said: "no, and of course if you don't like it, you don't have to buy it..." I said: "·NO sir, I am not tempting my luck anymore! I am taking it NOW!" :P

@Lahea: 5CD edition??? that must be awesome! I'll definitely try to find it, if I dont I'll come back to you for more info :)

The 5cd version isn't available to buy, it was a limited release only, although there are copies floating around - sadly, can't say more than that in this post in order to keep ToS safe.
As for what it has, it has the soundtrack form the released versions, plus the version of the tracks that were used in the actual films, and some alternate and unused ones.

oh, what a bummar! I avoid downloading cos, a) not all "cacharros" (CD players) replay copies, b) the inet at home is so bad lately , it's been 3 days that it is "on strike" (right now I am writing from work :shock:)& I don't want it to disconnect in the middle of downloading (this is what I meant by "not wanting to face technical hickups" in the original message.


Lahea: if i do get a 5CD which lasts hours iirc........ I might go straight to a different dimension! :) and... I am not sure that I would want to go back!
Can you ask your dad PLEASE how did he manage to get it??? Maybe there still is a chance?

The copies available on ebay are CDs burned from the download, not original copies. On the other hand, most CD writers these days will write disks that can be read by normal players.
