Could just pick anything by Enya :p
Mind you, you would probably be asleep by time the music finished ^_^

(Ps: Then I noticed the video you posted was from Enya - Haha)

Not 100% natural i'll admit, but the vocals on it remind me of some kind of Na'vi celebration or event, like Jake's permanent transfer to his Avatar body.

Just today I was in the biggest park of Bucharest, I stood alone on a bench near a big tree and listened to the Avatar soundtrack... it was pure, divine, nothing more to say. Putting away the fact that the sun was playing with its brightness on my face and it smiled to me very warm... I had deep deeep goosebumps. Especially on Bioluminiscence Of The Night and on Jake Enters His Avatar World.

Just awesome... it connects you to the nature, true meaning.

This one's very inspiring music from "The Time Machine" (2002 ver.), by Klaus Badelt (contains one of my favorite film themes). Very ethnic, I thought.

In fact, almost any cue from "The Time Machine" soundtrack could be used in Avatar.

I heard this song on Newgrounds.com a while ago and thought, "This song sounds like it was made by James Horner... amazing." and shortly after that, I read the composer's description...

Honestly, I blame James Horner's work in Avatar for his style kinda rubbing off on me in this piece.

Wow, that was pretty and I agree that it sounds like something from Avatar.

I enjoy hearing all sorts of music but what I find enjoyable is to hear the traditional chants and folk music from around the world. Here is a sampling of some of my favorites:

Enigma: Return to Innocence

This one is very pretty too. It has a Native American chant:

This is a pretty Navajo chant:

Here some Mayan music:

Here is some music from Peru:

I especially love Celtic music like this:

There is so many to put on here though. I love the Chieftains as well. Check them out on Youtube

There is also Gregorian chant:

Here is some music from the Middle East:

Here is some traditional Chinese music:

Here is some traditional Indian music:

Here is some traditional African music:

I know its just a small sampling. All traditional chants and folk music from around the world is beautiful. You might notice the rhythms and the chants have some common connection. Perhaps this is a way to get back some of our connection with each other, through music :). Enjoy!

I take these from the Medieval Total War II OST; it's got some cool tracks on the Mayan and Aztec factions.

Was just listening to this again, it always makes me sad...

:'(

It does have a heavier part in the middle, but it still fits with the song really well...

Enya and Enigma are two of my favorite artists. There is also an artist called Nicholas Gunn that has very good ethnic based music. The album I have is called "The Sacred Fire" and most of the pieces are over three minutes on the short ones and over 4 on the long ones. I don't know how to load a music video here but it is on youtube.
I've been a fan of 'new age' music since the 80's... there's a lot of really good instrumental music out there great for reading, writing, whatever.

Mika 09-20-2010 01:58 AM

Its short, but the music and visuals are just amazing!
