These times...
 

In the moment...

You can't feel yourself,
You're numb,
And you feel hollow.

When you look in the mirror,
And you don't...
Recognise your own eyes.

When you can't hear,
Over the deafening noise,
That static, life creates to drown your loss.

When your body takes no more,
No more nourishment,
No more thought.

Your mind gives in,
While your soul...
Won't let out.

And all the time, you're stuggling
And you're fighting, evreything...
That it's telling you.

Fighting to the inch,
With every concievable,
Stretch and pull you can force.

Scraping and scratching,
At the walls of the hole,
That you're hopelessly encircled by.

Shouting to a person,
'Till rasping voiced...
Even though they don't exist.

Grasping at lines, imaginary...
Anything at all...
To pull yourself out.

All for a measure of mercy.

oh my! this sound rather desperate & lonely... do you really feel this way? :(
(in fact any of my prison pen-pals could have written that (I am in a prisoner helping NGO) - such a degree of despair! Scratching at the walls... what an image... I just wonder what makes you feel like this? :(

Yes, i'm doing alright at the moment, I just went through a rough patch for a while a few days ago. I don't think i'm completely over with the issue I was struggling with just yet, but it's getting better day by day.

from darkness…
deep within, beneath the benthic depths
the snow fresh moon awaits
to slowly shower down, in pale puffs
her brilliance ascendant
