I'm Lost.....

...without that show!

I'm sure some of ya guys have seen the series "Lost". I never watched any episodes while it was airing until for some reason I decided to click on it while browsing Netflix. The very first episode had me drawn in so bad that I could not stop watching it. I just finished the finale today and what an ending it was! I can't believe I didn't watch this while it was airing but kinda glad I did because watching it commercial-free on netflix was a whole lot better.

Seriously, anyone who hasn't watched the series, WATCH IT. No other tv show or movie, other than Avatar, has lured me in emotionally like Lost has. Wow....

I'm still thinking about the ending though. I won't spoil it for those who haven't watched it and plan to.

I watched a fair share of episodes, but it never could draw me in completely.

I thought the ending was a disappointment. It was good, but everything I was most interested in in it was never really resolved.

Ah, Lost. I was interested in it for a little while, but then it really ticked me off (ONE Australian? ONE? THE PLANE LEFT FROM SYDNEY. AUSTRALIANS TRAVEL A LOT, among other things. And oh, Jack and his manpain) and it failed to solve problems before introducing new ones, which frustrated me.

To be fair, there were a lot of redshirts. Maybe those were the Australians. After all, sorry to say, but the accent isn't amazingly understandable to most people :P

Hmm, was a good first series, things were kept pretty interesting, with only a few rediculous moments... But after that, for me it go a bit too 'Twin Peaks' for my liking. It kind of felt like the writers were thinking "Damn, ok... So he's there doing that, and that's there, so how does she get from there to there? Got it. Time-travel. That'll do. Next."

...and various British ones AREN'T? -_- That's insulting.

I know why there aren't Australians - it's an American show, and god forbid that they have more than a few characters who AREN'T American - but it bothers me, and it strikes me as jarring, which is a major reason why I turned off the show.

I can understand that, but it was made in America - it's not like most audiences there are particularly receptive to having many foreign characters.

Oh, I know how Hollywood and most TV stations in the US act.

Doesn't mean I have to accept it with a smile and without a protest.

If you enjoyed (most of) Lost but were frustrated by the ending, please please watch the series Twin Peaks. It's so much better- apart from the the crappy section of Season 2. But it picks up again right before the end.
