Thx all, yeah the lightning is a bit much but it helped tweaking the skin.
@Ateyo, i use Maya as 3d package.

It's been a while since I caught up on this thread--wow! I love the lighting in the last shot there. On the pupils: Hehe... the last/largest remind me of Puss in Boots from Shrek. :)

Thx, did some more tweaking after that but havent made a render yet.
Closing in on my stop messing with the models and really start animating deadline :P

Another update on Jake, like Neytiri a normal map is added.
This adds extra detail to his body, most are pretty subtle.
Making a high resolution version was fun, turning it into a normal map was a pain!
Thought i had it all figured out after doing Neytiri's model but everything that could go wrong went wrong!
But it worked out eventually and i learned alot from all the errors creating the high res and baking it to a normal map.
All in all i'm pretty happy with the result :)
Now i'm going to relax and build some more plants :P

I dont animate the cloth, it behaves dynamically, i probably moved jake from his base pose to this to quickly. The cloth is set up to behave like a pretty stiff fabric.

Did some small updates on Neytiri's shaders a while ago and was quite happy with the result, now testing the same on Jake.
Here he is in a quick action pose, hope you like it :) Not quite there yet but close.
Backlight is a bit too bright but oh well..
I have been very busy animating the last two months, was fun to mess around a little!
