Kaltxi my Drewan! WOW...great article. I was under the interperation he was doing a "trilogy" but that's doesn't bother me at all. I am just tickled "blue" he is doing the sequels regardless. ;)I think I like the idea he is with going with in his writings of the scripts and going with more of a "character arc" in his storytelling. That should be very interesting and after all it wasn't only Pandora that made us fall in love with Avatar but the characters themselves. :love:

Also, I like what he looking into as far as the technology aspect. That will be very intriguing to see what envelopes he will push this time around. Thanks so much for sharing this ma tsmukan. ;):awesome:

Nothing has changed :) There are still going to be three movies. I guess his point was to emphasize that it's not one big story with arbitrary lines drawn to make it into three parts (LOTR) but three stories tied together by the characters/setting etc.

Hmm, I'm guessing what James Cameron means is that the movies are meant to really be able to stand apart from each other. I have heard this before regarding the sequels, but maybe the amount of "stand-apart-ness" is going to be greater than previously thought.

I don't know if I just made it clearer or more confusing. :hmm:

So, it's still following the same people and setting, but not right where the previous one had left off?

no, It will most likely be set some time after the events of the first. Years possibly.

Exactly. It will still follow Jake, Neyney, etc., but not right after Avatar ends. I think I'm getting this now.

Well, if the follow on films are not linked to the first one, well then what's to say that there is no human return at all and the 'antaganist' is actually on Pandora or one of the other moons....hmmmm...
