OK, BIG UPDATE:
The date has been announced for the meetup! :) July 19-23, 2012 date subject to change This date has been approved by a majority vote in the planning committee, however we would like to have input from everyone as to if this is ok. I have set up a poll here and there have been similar polls posted on all of the forums. The planning committee represents the interests of ALL of the forums and is not run by one forum. There are liasons/reps for every major forum (Alan being our rep for ToS :) ) Mission Statement: "Celebrating Avatar and the Communities that it has created" EDIT: List of people going is now posted here. and here is the info straight from the source: Quote:

For anyone that doesn't frequent the cosplay board, I've started a thread in the cosplay section about the 2012 clan cosplay here. A year is enough time to get in shape and leisurely make a well put together costume. I'd suggest it to anyone who thinks they're up for it.

I was doing some checking last night on flight costs etc and the furthest ahead most airline companies will book at the moment is end of June or 355 days ahead. Hope that helps.

Interesting find: I was browsing around on facebook and discovered that on Laz Alonso's page there is information about contacting him for interviews and bookings! It had several phone numbers and email addresses. I say we go for it and try to get him to come back. I don't know if this should go through the museum or not, but I will gladly copy and paste the information to anybody who's in the planning groups. Perhaps if we can get Laz back, he might be able persuade some other people *COUGH* Zoe, Sam, Sigourney, Stephen, CCH, Wes, Michelle, Giovanni, Joel, James, Jon *COUGH* to come and join us. ;)
