Thank you! :D

I hope I will make a great impression... :embarrassed:

Oh what the hell, of course I will! :xD:

I have the most confident feeling that with your positive and adventurous attitude, you will be quite memorable and quickly become one of the "Seattle Clan". Which, BTW, is a good thing! :xD:

Hi guys

I'm quite a new member on this forum even if I had lurked around a long time before I joined. I'm dead set on getting to Seattle next year and even do my first cosplay as a native Na'vi. I have never cosplayed before but I want to do it now, since the trip to Seattle will be my first journey to North America. Might as well do it with a blast, yes? ;)

Since it will be my first time cosplaying, I'm stepping into unknown territory regarding wigs, body paint and the rest. I've chatted a lot with the awesome misstammie for a while and have discovered the REELMAGIK site which seems to be awesome! I have already ordered the mask (female one, I think it will look much better on me) , the make-up kit and the ears. Next month, I might go for the tail.

I hope you might help me if I run into some problems... :embarrassed:

Welcome :)

I'm looking into getting some of that paint myself, it looks like an excellent match for the Na'vi colours.

I've taken a look there and it looks terrific. Those bioluminescent dots... :P

I've used Reelmagik stuff. Ears ,tail, teeth, face, and had a lot hand made. Let me know if you need help.

I'm still gathering some of my materials, but will actually start putting it together soon. I hope it comes out ok! :)

I need to work out a lot of things for mine...

A loincloth and ears (was thinking of putting them on a headband to get them at a better height, then having it under a wig so I can have black hair), mainly - need to find where to get some good ears.

A loincloth won't be too bad. It's just what you are will to wear behind it, really. I'm covered, barely, to make it look right.

Ears from ReelMagik. Fit well, look great, light, comfortable. If you want to spend less money their are some latex ones out there for Halloween, quite good.

Sarah is the BEST at headbands. :) See her thread or ask her. I'm having one hand made and woven. I spend a lot money on my costume because I work my a** off and this is my treat to me.

You can get a good Avatar marketed wig form BuyCostumes. About $25.00. I went to where Sarah said in her Cosplay thread Fifi Mahony's. Where the drag queens go! I have it too custom made. You don't want to know how much. but it's killer. I'm picking it up next week.

This has been very exciting to follow this thread ..... I can't wait to see all of you .... our very own Na'vi in Seattle. MOM, wil you give us a preview photo of your wig when you get it? Please? It sounds awesome!

I can't wait to see what everyone else is working on either! I just started working on my chest piece, but I don't know if I should post pics of my outfit pieces or just let everyone be surprised when I get there. I'm not going to cover up my tattoo either. Worked way too long and hard on it and it'll mean less paint I'll have to use. :)

Moco Loco 09-11-2011 06:13 AM

I'm probably going to get the same ears as Wade, same teeth as Sarah, think about the tail some more (talk to people about size, tail fur density, etc), and a lot more is uncertain. I do have ten months to think about it ;)

Fiyerwall 09-12-2011 02:03 AM

I think I'm going to get the same kind of teeth as Sarah. They really seemed to fit without being overwhelming.

James of terra 09-12-2011 05:39 AM

I am coming as a RDA marine, and going to take you all prisoners...lol, Truly, I too big to be navi, but could work as rda......hmmmm

Sarah Noel 09-12-2011 11:24 PM

Yay James! (I hope everyone dresses up in some way) are you 100% or on the fence?

Fiyerwall 09-13-2011 02:45 AM

Sarah, will you put me down as 100% participating? Even though I'm short, I'm still going for full on Na'vi.:war:
