When I have colds, I get crazy dreams too. Every time I have the flu, I constantly have dreams that I'm walking through a forest at night and people keep trying to attack me. I always wake up kicking :P

Last night, in the meetup dream, I didn't get shot with a giant arrow when the na'vi saw us!

(I can really appreciate this after about 100 dreams of being shot through the stomach on sight.)
I always run ahead and get shot, but this time HNM was with me, so they didn't shoot :)

Really? Moco - thats awful - I mean good that it did not happen again, but awful that it used to happen. So in your dreams we all go through that lake and then meet the NA'Vi and you wrote that some of us even danced with them or experienced adventures but you yourself end up shot?

yeah man. Something to be happy about :S "cognition comes thru comparison", or how does it go?

I hate dreams when I need to run but am moving so slowly, as if underwater, while the attacker((s), offender(s) or whoever have no problem at all :S-.- No Fair!
I usually manage to turn around & strike a blow, even tho I don't always manage to get rid of them (by killing them, or at least giving them a good scare) but at least I know I tried my best :S
Good I am trained to wake up at will: "I don't like this dream, 1-2-3 I am out, out, out!" - & I wake up. It's my dream safety spell :D

Moco Loco 10-26-2011 04:23 PM

Sounds good, wish I had something like that to wake myself up.

Last night, I dreamed that there was some type of chips or crackers (some generic snacky item) which gave you really terrible headaches after eating it, and the only way they could be stopped is by influencing someone else to try them. It was like a ridiculous form of advertising :xD: I accidentally ate one and then refused to get someone else to do so. The dream ended with me in bed feeling very ill.

Every time. I never die though :P I'm just very weak throughout the rest of the dream.

That's good :)
Maybe enough and you'll be able to know when the arrow is coming and avoid it :)

I don't know why, but I think I've been having some really long-lasting dreams lately. Last night I had one that felt like it was an hour long. It began in my university's library; I was trying to find a particular book to check out, and when I took it to the check-out desk I couldn't do it 'cause the library was actually closed! :hmm: So I sat on a bench for a long time, waiting, and trying to avoid falling asleep... Next thing I remember is trying to navigate my way through an airport. You know those little subway systems some airports have? Well, I had to get on so many of those, and it was taking so long to get to my gate, and when I finally reached the end of the subway lines I was told I had been reassigned seats. "But my luggage is already over another seat from a previous flight, how am I going to find my library book??"

I woke up, and looked at the clock. I felt like I had dreamt an hour...

...I hadn't been asleep for more than two. :shoop:

One other weird happening: in another recent dream, I had dreamed that I was just waking up from one, but I was trying to get myself back into that dream and have that whole lucid-dreaming fun, without realizing that I was dreaming already... So it was almost like a...dream within a dream. :shoop:

auroraglacialis 11-02-2011 10:18 PM

Haha - yeah - waking up and then waking up again - that is immensely confusing :P I had that happen before when I was really trying hard to lucid dream.

Human No More 11-04-2011 04:10 PM

I always had a similar problem when I tried to lucid dream... kind of ruined it :(
I dreamed I was waking up, then when I tried to stop waking up, I actually ended up waking up :(

This was a bizarre one.
Some ToS members, myself including, were forming a gang  altho when I woke up I thought that we didn't do anythin apart from downloading movies from inet, & everybody in, say, Alan's contact list could see his movies. That's not illegal, is it - so why "the gang" then? :S Anyway, Don Juan (the yaquí shaman from The Teachings of Don Juan) happened to be our "ToS gang" member, too :) I was very pleasantly surprised.

We were in some office to "pick up some stuff" & go. But another, the "bad" gang (some sort of RDA people :S), wanted to annihilate us & were aiming missiles at our window from the opposite building. I closed the curtain so that they wouldn't be sure whether we were still there, or gone. Don Juan decided to put some paste-like explosive on the glass as a distraction manouvre: when the baddies would see the explosion in our window they would wonder who else had entered the game, & while they scratched their heads, we would safely escape. Everybody left, I stayed alone with Don Juan. He did as he said & moments before the explosion we jumped out of the window on the other side of the building, and here's the best part: first, we apparently jumped from the 3rd or the 4th floor softly landing on our feet like cats - & started running in absolute silence, without making a slightest sound. I was thinking: "This is what he meant about 'moving thru the world like a shadow'. We ran & ran thru some blocks, it cost me considerable effort to keep up with him but I was glad that I could go just as soundlessly as he did. Suddenly, yet some other gangsters sitting by some building shouted: "It's them, get them!" We stood with the backs to each other prepared to fight, & the last thing I can recall, I was frantically trying to remember everything I could from Krav Maga about using lay-by objects in a fight :S (I never practiced Krav Maga, I only translated at a seminar :( pity) Then the dream crumbled.

Wow that's an action packed dream. :) I wonder why the RDA guys were chasing the TOS "gang" and wanted to kill them all..But then the RDA do go over the top to get what they want. :P

Collateral damage. :P

Wow - Action dream. I very rarely have action dreams. At least not THAT much action with shooting and running :D

Haha - walking in silence. Yeah, I sometimes do that without thinking and then I scare people ;) :xD:
Krav Maga looks pretty impressive in the videos. A friend of mine wanted to go to a club and I wanted to see how it works out and maybe join, but she never went :(

why, sister? Well we are on the Na'vi's side, right! in fact quite a few of us are already Na'vi :P at least in spirit! and the RDA wouldn't particularly like it... Advent got it right- Skxawng vrrteps!

yeah, it's one of rare (for me) action dreams...

I liked Krav Maga cos the only rule there is "Survive!" in, say, a street fight where there is no time for courtesies. I learned quite a few things from the instructor while translating. Like: "Your worst enemy is... yourself! if you overcome yourself - you can overcome anything!" Heh... a long way to go!

Sounds like a fun dream :P

You know what was a fun dream?

One I had a couple nights ago, where I bought a bunch of shoes from Walmart to give to a charity. Except, I didn't buy pairs of shoes, I just bought single shoes, so you were yelling at me, calling me an idiot because I bought single shoes instead of pairs of shoes.

First dream where someone from this forum has been in it lol. You also were about 40, in faded jeans, a black leather jacket, and may or may not have been mexican. But in the dream, my whole family was there too, and everyone called you human no more.
