Warm Spring-Summer nights
 

the snow is gone and the weather has been kinda warm out, and the crickets are finally out at night. this is the best kind of weather i can ask for. i makes me feel more like being on pandora. i am able to go out barefoot, and again the crickets are out at night! best sound in the world to fall a sleep to :)

what about u guys, how is the weather there, or what is your spring/summer nights like ?

AMEN. I can sleep in my hammock with the windows open, let my mind wander, chill, relax, and enjoy life. So glad the cold is gone!

still got the hammock lucky, im still trying to see it i can get one lol

The cicadas kill me. When I go visit my dad I can't sleep because it's so hot and those cicadas.... I'm used to silence and the cool, errr.... the coolness... :P

lol yeah they only come around me once in like 10 years or something. but idk i find some of there sounds kinda nice...as long as its not like right by the window lol then it would be to loud :P

I occasionally go outside at night and just lie on the grass and think.

It's so close to being that way again. It's still a little too cold here though. Agreed on the laying in the grass thing though. Especially on a clear night away from the lights of the city. Nothing but me, a cool bed of glass, and millions of twinkling diamonds in the sky all night :D

Its still kinda chilly here, at least in the morning. I love it when there is a cool breeze and a sunny day. Those are the best times. Around here we go from cool to hot and it stays that way for most of the year :(.

Its funny, I always love when summer is starting up, the snowcone stand back home starts opening (best snowcones ever btw!!!) it starts to warm up, etc. Than it increases to over 100 degrees and you have to shower in sunscreen to not burn! Than I want the cold back :D

I don't enjoy the summer around here. It is mostly 95 degree heat, 100% humidity and you feel constantly sticky :(. It stays like that normally from March to November. Strangely though, it is still cool and even chilly in the morning. This is not a typical March for Florida.

To be honest, the weather here is crap-tastic. It has warmed up a little bit since march began, but now starts the rain...

ah i love the weather in Florida i am a huge fan of hot and humidity :D

i think we should all take pics of the area around were we live and vote on which one looks the best :)

This reminds me of when I used to put two crickets in a jar and make them fight...
And it was fun (now a bit cruel) to capture cicadas using a long stick with a sticky end :D

I was out at night without layers over the weekend. :D It was awesome! I even kicked off the shoes and went barefoot for the afternoon (without freezing my toes!), although it's still a little squashy here with all the rain we've had lately. :( I love the bright sunny days that are hot in the sun, but cool in the shade. Good stuff!

(My yard really doesn't bear a lot of resemblance to Pandora at the moment, though, unfortunately...)

Warm weather? Lucky! I'm in Canada, still can't go outside without a heavy sweater the past couple days.

We've had rain and cold the past few days again here, but supposedly the weather is going to be springy again toward the end of the week. :) We're still having those days with some nice weather and no bugs, for the most part. We don't get millipedes (ew) but we do get caterpillars galore. :P

When do you expect spring up your way, Boomchucka? :)

Ah, the weather here is fantastic. Spring has finally arrived and everything is beautiful. Everything is green and yellow. Most of the trees have started growing new brightly colored leaves. Wildflowers are blooming: blue, yellow, pink, white, etc. Everything just feels brighter. I can hear birds singing outside (in the winter all I hear are grackles). The mornings are kinda chilly, but the weather is comfortably warm within a few hours. I can finally go outside without a jacket and shoes and just enjoy nature (I have to hike quite a distance to find it, though :P). So it's freaking awesome where I am :D
