That's it.... We just have to do what we can with what we have :(

If it was a case of 'drop everything and go', then I would say no. I am to far rooted into my current life to suddenly change.
Or, if I could be human and travel to Pandora (preferably after the war), then I would go. (Sounds similar, but it's not. :P) If I could forget earth completely and be born anew as the Na'vi, the, HELL YEAH. |
I want to reborn as a Na'vi, i dont care if i can remember my old life, if i could drop my earth body for Pandora i would :/

The perceived easiest solution is to just keep going - though it may not be the easiest in the long run. But by just keep going, nothing will change. That is sad. Maybe something will change, maybe not. But you can maybe increase the possibilities and probabilities by make happen what you envision? Its good to be content with the place and time and people of the now, one should not postpone happiness to the future ("Once I will....") - but one can dream and envision something for the future and go there. |
Yea good idea - i really hope for a afterlife :(

And you're absolutely right about dreaming of something for the future, beyond the present's status quo. I should have thought of that more readily instead of being simply content with the present. Other people I know have said that to me when I've mentioned wishing I could be in a different time/place. |
Don't mistake the dreaming of a future and envisioning it as the main task though - The now is where you live. That is the time and place you should be happy with. To constantly strive for a better future and postpone happiness to that future is not helping. I think it is a hard task, but ideally, one should balance to be content and happy with the current situation, even if it is not perfect - and dreaming as well as working towards a future that is interesting or gives new perspectives or experiences. I think - and I myself have a hard time doing this - it would be good to not expect happiness from any envisioned future. This usually does not happen in the long run. Every future will become present at some time and then it may also be regular. So to strive for a certain future is ideally motivated not in reaching happiness, but maybe in reaching a situation that can more easily produce happiness and content. I guess that was a bit too philosophical ;) Maybe you get what I mean.

I think I do get what you mean. I really don't mind reading something philosophical like that, though I'm afraid of regurgitating it incorrectly. :P In any case, I do believe I understand the point you're making. :)

Do you guys thinks there will be a after life ?
