BBC News - Google begins Amazon river Street View project

Very interesting - this has the potential to show people that these places exist so maybe they won't just be in the back of everyone's mind any more.

Very, very interesting indeed... From what i've seen with my own eye, these images could have the potential to shock a lot of people, and change minds about a lot of things. It's easy to emptily talk and use the word 'deforestation' with no emotional attatchment, but once you see it yourself, even just the word takes on a whole new meaning.

Here's hoping that this could be the start of something good.
