That show up so rarely, are so poorly animated, and violate so many established facts about Dinosuars they really shouldn't be mentioned....

Plus the also do that Primeval thing where creatures don't react to bullets because they're just CGI and there's nothing really there.

I'm sorry to say this, but I actually preferred the huge forests in the movie "The Rundown". Or the nature preserves within driving distance. And I'm very spoiled from watching Planet Earth as many times as I have regarding forests. Terra Nova just didn't do it with regards to getting my nature fix.

Pa'li Makto 12-06-2011 05:05 AM

You're so lucky to have such nature reserves within close reach Crickett. Most of the Rainforests in Australia are in the top half of the country. Terra Nova was filmed in South East Queensland, Australia.

WAtched the second to last episode of the season: Finally no more secrets and the ending is set in motion. Man, louis has some real reduclous issues with his daddy.

My reveiw of the season, I believe it was everything that I was expecting: It followed the Ideals of eco-friendly society while at the same time keeping technology as a big factor in the colony's existance. The tensions between the colony and the Sixer's really kept me on my toes because I didn't know who was the deciver. And every episode had a small development plot for the characters which I believe was a good move for a show that is in a settlement surrounded by a wooden fence.

Can wait for the finaly. xD

Moco Loco 12-14-2011 10:38 PM

And then, I missed the whole season :stare:
Except the finale, but I'm guessing this is one of those shows I shouldn't just see the end of?

Cyvaris 12-15-2011 01:01 AM

So....I predicted EVERY twist in the whole damn show on the night it premiered...yeah.

Anyway, the show had vision, decent enough ideas, sadly the story telling is very weak, the characters are bland, and the graphics are terrible.

So in closing, with the season finale coming up, I don't think Terra Nova is coming back folks.

I've heard that the show costs four million dollars an episode. So no, it is not. I'm surprised they even tried a show that expensive since supposedly it wasn't ratings or critical reception that killed shows like Rome or Battlestar Galactica, but rather the sheer price of making those shows was too high.

Pa'li Makto 12-16-2011 01:53 AM

I quite liked Terra Nova, although I'd even hesitate to watch possible sequels of the first series.

Theorist 12-17-2011 01:25 AM

I think it's starting to get really good, I'm looking forward to the finale, and a new season. Personally, I think shannon, maddie, and maddie's boy friend have some funny moments interacting together.

Pa'li Makto 12-17-2011 04:48 AM

Hmmm I think so too, but I don't know how they could keep things fresh after a whole season though. :S

It's Fox. Cancelling sci-fi shows is what they do.

rasomaso 03-09-2012 04:26 AM

I thought it was good. I'm alittle disapointed that it was canceled and what nought but I didn't think it was bad at all. Even though some people say it was perdictable and maybe lacked some plot twists, I thought it was good the way it was. If you are an avatar fan, you should at least give this a shot and see.

rasomaso 03-10-2012 02:15 AM

Hah predictable plot, where did I hear that last time, I think Avatar? lol
I'll give it a shot. :)

Terra Nova was indeed interesting, some of the names were a bit funny such as carnotaurus but it was pretty cool to watch. ;)

Carnotaurus was a real dinosaur that lived during the cretaceous period. The name can be translated as "meat eating bull".
