Alert!! Idiots!!
This really occured.
A couple of junior geniuses, a few miles from here, got the brilliant concept to cover a stop sign. Really. The wrapped it in opaque plastic wrap. Too much time and too little sense? Surprisingly, most drivers realized something was wrong and stopped anyway, but not all. An elderly pair drove through the blanked sign into the path of a semi. (large lorry for you brits) One died at the scene and the other a week later at the hospital. BUT WAIT! THERE'S MORE! Two drivers phoned the local sherrif about the molested sign, and the deputy who took the calls made a memo to contact the street department, but otherwise did nothing. And was fired. Don't call it 'common sense' when it's so rare. |
Well, those 'junior geniuses' now have to live with blood on their hands for the rest of their lives. There's no worse punishment then that, in my opinion.

That is so moronic it's almost beyond belief. :facepalm:
So many more people could of been killed or seriously injured. Those poor elderly fellows. :( |
