Sigourney Weaver will officially be in Avatar 2
 

Ever since Avatar came out, Sigourney hinted that she might be back on Avatar 2 & 3. She never really answered the question directly preferring to keep it vague as to not spoil anything as per JC's request, no doubt.

Well, she just now confirmed she'll be back:

Don’t worry, I will be back. Jim [Cameron] says no one ever dies in science fiction. He’s told me the stories for the next two movies and I have to say that they’re absolutely wonderful and there’s a real treat in store. Now we just have to make them.

I'm so glad Grace will be there in some form or other for at least Avatar 2.

I want Trudy back too. She was a cool character, and it seemed like a waste to just snuff her out like that.

Does this mean that Quaritch will be back as well? :/

Well, as far as Grace go, her soul/spirit is with Eywa. The same cannot be said for either Quaritch or Trudy unfortunately.

Trudy never linked to the network, so her memories weren't preserved - the only real way for her to come back if if she somehow escaped before being shot down, which is just about impossible. On the other hand, Grace's memory is now part of a sentient neural network, in addition to their presence potentially meaning they could be returned to her avatar.

I really liked Grace so I wouldn't mind seeing her come back :)

So, Grace will be quite active in the Eywa network then. Now, I guess I know one Neytiri quote from the sequel already:
"Our Great Mother does not take sides Jake... but she has a weird sense of humor"

That's fantastic that Grace is coming back! She had a sense of realism and an air saying that she was down-to-earth - I really like her character.
