Music from Ancient civilisations.
As music can invoke spiritual thought and plays a huge role in spiritual communities I thought I'd post something here. This is a great channel on youtube that has authentic music from Ancient civilisations such as Egypt, Greece and Sumeria. :) This guy has music that people have produced using instuments, language and songs pieced from a reconstruction from relics, ancient writing and tools. Get some ancient music into your souls! :D
MisterAncientMusic's Channel - YouTube This is just a taste of what's in there: |
I quite like the last one :)
|
Me too. ;) The flutes/pipes are so soothing. ;) If you have time there's a lot more music in the channel.
I also found some Medieval Music on Youtube. |
Sacred music from the renaissance reporting in.
I listen to this stuff for hours at a time, great to sleep to. Probably one of the more "beautiful" ones I've heard. ^^^ |
Wow great stuff Iron_Jones!! Keep posting when you can, it's nice to get this music heard and appreciated. ;)

Done.

;) Glad you enjoyed it.

Really interesting to see music from different cultures and from such a long time ago!
It's odd to think that with such limited knowledge and technology that they were able to create such beautiful works of art! |
I liked the Mayan one, it's mysterious & a bit spooky even - like a door to another dimension...
Here's Ravi Shankar: Ravi & Anoushka Shankar - Raga Anandi Kalyan - YouTube (how do you guys manage to get the video starting shot - not just the link??) I can't figure it out :( |
