Afterlife Previous Life?

I think I have had a previous life before, because I can remember I have been in heaven, I have memories of before I was born, I was in heaven talking with God, don't know why

do somebody think that I could have a previous life?

I can remember exactly how God was looking like, he was probably almost 2 meter high, he had a white garment, he had a very long hair, little longer down than the shoulders, and a lot of beard, white/gray beard

Well, it's perfectly probable (in spiritual terms, that is) so I'd say that yes, you had a previous life.
In my opinion anyway, everyone has had previous lives, and a large number of them.

Perhaps an out of body experience? Was this a dream or is it a vivid memory?
In buddhism, it's possible to be reborn in a godly realm if one generates enough good karma.

Well, ideally, after each life you would return to heaven/the spiritual realm for a time, and rest. I personally believe that after each life, God would ask you what you have done in that time. After you've done all you can, you stay in heaven, and can rest forever and watch over your siblings.

It could be the epilogue of a previous life. It could be just a dream, or vision. It could be completed isolated from normal life. And then, it could be something else. Best not to worry too much about such things.

This was a memory

Are you sure it's not you thinking about talking to God and then assuming it's a memory?

Let's not go there? It is a silly place, philosophically.

Tsanten Eywa 'eveng 10-15-2011 06:39 PM

I'm pretty sure it wasn't a dream

Even if it was a dream that doesn't make it any less spiritually valuable. Apache_blanca has had dreams where she visited other worlds and was met by beings who informed her that she lived there in a previous life.

Or astral projection. Maybe you went to an astral plane?

Eltu 10-15-2011 08:57 PM

Astral projection sounds likely. Of course, that implies all the more that it could be related to past lives. ;)

I'd say it's quite likely, even - considering the nature of your memories.

KalTXi Navi'ya :)

It can be anything above mentioned. But rather defining "what was it?" - imho - maybe an interesting question could be: "What was the value of that experience?" How did you feel? What did God (or whatever we call this figure) ask you? Do you remember your answer? How did it start - how did it finish? (if you remember)

I am asking all this cos it seems very much like an NDE (Near Death Experience) &, if I got you right, you didn't have to go thru a clinical death for that :D which is a great luck. And I am also asking because typically people who have these heavenly visions (mostly during NDE but there are exceptions - like your case) feel so wonderful that they Don't want to go back - & the characters in "the Light" remind them that they still have things to take care of on Earth.

A friend had an NDE during an asthma attack. She saw the tunnel, the light, had "the knowledge expansion" (she even knew the reason for blue bottles! :D (the flies)), experienced unbelievable peace & happiness - & when she was gently nudged to go back, she said that she didn't want to - & suddenly had the vision of her daughter crying on her grave. She said: "Oops..." - next step, she was back in the hospital.

Not all the people have this sort of experience during clinical death (or in other circumstances) - but they happen for a reason. This is why I am asking: "How did you feel? What was the conversation with God about?" - but of course you have the free choice to answer this question on this forum, or not to.

And back to "What was it?" ... erm... I read the whole load on "Life - Death - Life" and - imho - yes, it was a memory. You were in a place short after your previous life (since there was that Q&A part). Anyways, if you want to know more, there are good books on the subject: check out Michael Newton's Journey of Souls, Brian Weiss Many Lives Many Masters, and Many Bodies, One Soul (iirc). Interesting stuff! :D
By the way these authors are professionals in psychiatry who used to believe only in pills & wrote serious articles in serious magazines & gave serious conferences for very serious audiences - but their lives took an unexpected turn ;) Fascinating, really, I strongly recommend both books.

That's incredible! :gshock:

Here is a good NDE site - recommended to me by a very good friend - for those who want to have a look:
Near Death Experiences & Afterlife

Simply from browsing that (rather badly designed) list, I am immediatly suspicious of anything resembling this article. All of our knowledge of how the brain works, including the experiences of deaf people given coclear implants and the like, suggest that the brain does not work that way.
