It's your profile picture :)

There's a waterfall and surrounding nature about 10-15 minutes from my university, so I end up spending a lot of time there. It keeps the feeling alive for me.

Ah he really likes Bjork. She is pretty adorable, and a good singer. ;)

@dstroudswan: Woah you are lucky! Is it a big one at all? I used to live close to a little beach with a waterfall. Though it was about 3 metres high but small.

dstroudswan 11-16-2011 05:04 AM

Thanks :). It's a pretty good size:

Awww that is beautiful. :) Do you dunk your head under it sometimes? It's pretty refreshing.

dstroudswan 11-16-2011 05:13 AM

Only after my last class :)

Good idea! Waterfalls are also great to meditate near. The sounds of a raining stream of water pooling into still water and over rocks is so calming.

dstroudswan 11-16-2011 05:20 AM

Standing behind the waterfall and feeling the mist is also really calming, and a great way to clear one's mind.

Sometimes hanging out at my hot dirty beach is calming :P Can't say many other people feel the same about it though.

dstroudswan 11-16-2011 09:33 PM

Dirty? lol

Human No More 11-17-2011 12:35 AM

Yeah, beaches do tend to be when there are a lot of people around... :(

dstroudswan 11-17-2011 04:02 AM

True; it appalls me that with all the leaps forward, the human species still isn't mature enough to not litter.

Pa'li Makto 11-17-2011 05:02 AM

Hmm well it depends on where you are. The beaches in Sydney are pretty much litter free. Though that might be because of cleanup groups, tourism campaigns and huge fines. :P

The closest beaches to me are the ones of Lake Eerie, and some have been closed due to the high content of fecal matter because of sewage dumping :(

Same here for the beaches of Lake Ontario. Plus the high content of mercury and E. coli. It's disgusting what Stelco (the local steel company) did to what used to be a lovely freshwater lake.
