Operation: ToS Group Video Chat is GO!!!
 

Heya folks.

So, some of us on the IRC channel have come up with a cool idea.

We were messing around with webcams, and we thought it could be cool if we started having group video conferences, just for fun, and maybe also to tell each other a little more about ourselves.

We were gonna use Skype, but Skype wants money for this kind of thing.

So we're using tinychat instead, which is free for group video. If you guys want to participate, make an account there, and let us know your username, or you can just join our chatgroup there and connect with a mic/webcam.

We've been playing around with it and it's a lot of fun; if you want to try, you should join us.

It was definitely awesome.

We will have to come up with a certain night to do it

How does Tuesday nights work for people?

It doesn't matter if certain nights do or do not work well for me, I will just end up prioritizing it over the stuff I should be doing anyway, strongly evidenced by last time. So I'm down for anytime, I do prefer evening/night over mornings/midday/afternoon though.

Why don't we just have it everynight, and whoever is free that night to do it can do so? or I guess I should say 24/7 because APPERANTLY there's life outside of North America.

Because it would get boring after a while with nothing new and also people would miss out on a lot. Having a designated night a week makes it easy and everyone will be there on one night (that can make it).

For people outside US, we could easily have it be earlier or later. In fact during the last one iirc, we watched a live stream from Akiwiguy in NZ. :)

I'll more than likely miss it most of the time, but that would go for any night of the week :P

Yep... those were good times.

I'd like to do this but screw TinyChat. I use Windows Vista (sadly) but anytime I use TinyChat... I get a BSOD. And I'm not the only one: I got a BSOD from TinyChat last night - IGN Boards I am positive.

My suggestion? Google+ It's free and nice.
