(Calvin and) Hobbes and Bacon

So I don't know if everyone has seen this, but I feel like it deserves its own thread.

Calvin and Hobbes has always had a special place in my heart, and these four comics have been a sweet nostalgia trip.

Man frick you. :P

The first panel of the first comic was the last panel of the very last Calvin and Hobbes comic. And I remember crying like a bitch when I read it.

I find these very touching, at an extreme emotional level for me.

This warms my heart so much right now. :)

Those are brilliant :)

I never read the original ones as much as other people clearly did, but these still make me smile :)

<3 C&H.

Those are great.

Well, why not?? READ MOAR! :D

I flip through the books these days, and I see a lot of strips about the environment and humanity's place on Earth that make me think of discussions held on this site.

My list of things to read is :S very long. Maybe someday though.

Well C&H should be Number 1.

No kidding.

One that caught my eye in one the books a while back:

My apologies to Bill Watterson, but I just had to make a slight modification to illustrate one of the things I see in this strip: http://mikkowilson.com/files/CH_PeopleNeverContent2.jpg

I loved these comics. :) The ones you posted are really nice, especially the last one.

Haha yes, I remember that on IRC. :xD:

There are a few other strips worth noting on this page. The ones that stick out the most to me are Calvin's asking of Hobbes about the Devil plus the one with "Sometimes I think the surest sign that intelligent life exists elsewhere in the universe is that none of it has tried to contact us."

My family has all of the books and i've read every panal. Oh man, I feel totaly rejuvinated now that people are going for 26 years later.

I love Calvin and Hobbes, I remember reading all the strips back in 6th grade, I was so sad when I made it to the last one. But this is great, made my day reading these. :)
