Don Giovanni, the 1979 production of the Mozart opera of the same name. I'm no opera expert, but I certainly liked it for the most part.

..............Neytiri is in tears following destruction of Utraya Mokri and Tsu'tey and party are spoiling for a fight.

Avatar seems to be on virtually every other week where it will play several times during each day.

Must still be very popular for it to have such a continuous showing even after two years.

:D That's what I keep hearing. There's a production of it being put on in May in Los Angeles, not too far from my home. If I wasn't already scheduled to be a million miles away at the time () I would absolutely go see it. The movie will be as close I get for now.

Well you can watch the "real thing" on youtube if you search for it.

Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close

I thought it was much better than I was led to believe it would be.

Green Lantern. As a long time fan of the Green Lantern character (although I have recently sworn off comic books) I was surprised Ryan Reynolds was able to pull off the character of Hal Jordan well. He didn't strike me as a particularly good casting decision when I heard about it, but he did a good job portraying the character IMO.

A couple of things though
1. Did this movie really need to cost $300 million. With a movie like Avatar, the answer is an unequivocal yes. With this? I don't think so.
2. Having a villain that turned out to be just a giant..... mass did not work out for the Fantastic Four and I don't think it worked particularly well here. Giant purple man, giant yellow bug, still better than CGI blobs.

And X-Men: First class. Which I think did something well that Star Wars Episode 2 and 3 did not. I think they did a good job establishing that Professor X and Magneto were once friends. Ideologically different friends. The Star Wars prequels often MENTIONED that they were friends, but never really established that on screen..... ever.

I think the Green Lantern villain pretty much crippled the movie. Fun fact: the classroom the evil guy is teaching in when he flips out (sorry for the vagueness, it's been a while) is my old bio classroom :D

Win :P

I haven't seen it... worth seeing? I don't know a thing about all the background of it, etc.

Moco Loco 02-03-2012 04:29 AM

IMO, no or only if you have it on while doing other things so you don't feel like you've wasted two hours of your life (in the event you don't like it) :P
