Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy.

I confess, It was quite dense and It did leave me very, very confused. I will have to watch it through a second time I think :P

Harry Brown

It's... sad, really, and very atmospheric, but also enjoyable, and the basic premise of him killing the chavs that were causing trouble is actually a smaller part than you'd perhaps imagine. A very complex film.

I'm suspicious :P

Dark Days, which easily takes a spot on the list of my favorite documentaries.

Iron Sky

Just when I thought, scenarios of present-day Nazi invasions couldn't get any weirder than Kohta Hirano and his manga "Hellsing", with undead Nazi vampires launching the invasion of England ("Operation Seelöwe 2") with a squadron of Zeppelins attacking London, here come Johanna Sinisalo, Jarmo Puskala and Michael Salesniko, writing this story...

What a greatly absurd movie this was... to quote Tyr Anasazi from "Andromeda": "They played Wagner... this was the most fun I had in six months".

But it also held a profound warning of a possible future: Sarah Palin being elected as US president? Oh, please, no...

Midnight premiere of Avengers. Darn good, not the greatest, but it works. Joss' writing was fantastic as always.

Before the movie though my friends and I had dinner/drinks, after which we went to target and (probably because of the drinks) but some cheap costume props. I bought a Thor helmet, hammer, and a crimson towel, which I used duct tape to affix to my back. Another friend bought an Iron Man mask/red hockey gloves, someone else bought a green shirt/pants combo.

We were the Avengers, Earth's Cheapest Heroes and everyone attacked us for pictures.

Can anyone share their opinon of Hunger Games? I found a theater showing it in CC and wanted to go see it next week but getting mixed reviews from folks around here. if it's not that great then I'll see Avengers instead.

^Avengers. Hunger Games is a clunky, horrible mess of a film/book series.

An animated double feature at home, on a lazy Sunday...
"How to train your dragon" on DVD and "Hoodwinked" on TV (and since that was on PBS, no commercial breaks).

I think I'll get the DVD version of "Hoodwinked", too, since the TV version was German-dubbed... and hearing people like Jim Belushi, Xzibit or Andy Dick as voice talents (the last one mentioned voicing the villain!) are too nicely chosen to be missed...
