I seriously hope you were trolling there. Even the parts I saw from the oscars had me bored, and the directing was mediocre if I wanted to be kind.

Or, people simply like different things :P

Last film I watched was the Avatar CE, but before that, I got around to seeing Get Him to the Greek. Pleasantly surprised - pretty watchable movie.

I don't care if you liked it. Like whatever you want. :) People like different things; there are plenty of movies I love that most others hate or think are stupid. :P
Two things about the Hurt Locker, though. First, it's filmed like a documentary, and I'm not one to watch documentaries too often. Second, I thought it was realistic too, until I read this article. So... whatever. I didn't think it was a bad film; it was ok. But it isn't a *better* movie than Avatar. There wasn't even an ending. Sure, I agree Avatar isn't the sharpest plotline/storyline in the box, but it really was a more entertaining, more fulfilling, and more thought-out concerning detail. Plus, it was more-widely accepted by the public. |

The Tourist.
A waste of my money IMHO. If I wasn't with friends I would've probably walked out and asked for a refund. |

But as I said; It really had me going until stuff got boring about half way in the film and when he visited that professor in his house... it just started to get weird. And the last day incident was kinda pointless. The whole movie was very well filmed, as last words. Clash of the Titans Bought it about a week ago and decided to sit down and see it while I was home alone... Mediocre, at its best! And i'm starting to doubt on Sam's acting a bit :S He pronounced his "What are they?" line PRECISELY as in Avatar, together with stiff faces, similar expression all over again, almost like they were borrowed straight off from Jake. |
You could... sell it to me for low if you want...

Lord of War
Nick Cage was meh, but the movie was great as a whole. |

Wanting to watch something funny yesterday, I pulled Roger Corman's 1963 B-movie masterpiece The Raven from my DVD shelf yesterday and enjoyed the hilariously funny Vincent Price, Peter Lorre and Boris Karloff, together with one of the first movie appearances of Jack Nicholson - and he already had that crazy grin practiced to perfection...

 Another person who's seen The Raven! :D I love that movie. Corny as it is, I just love it. Even moreso because Nicholson isn't that great an actor in it. :xD: He's SO YOUNG in it, though!

i watched a movie called Red Planet today, with that Carrie Anne Moss that played Trinity in the Matrix movies. it wasn't bad,had some good effects on Mars, pace was kinda slow, but i still liked it. it also had Val Kilmer in it,and i guess this film was a few years ago, before he became a beached whale, lol.

Harry Potter and the Philosophers Stone :)
Have decided to make an HP marathon, one movie per day. And this first one sure felt amazing! All the classical HP stuff comes back, from being a bit left out in the later ones. The goofy "family" of his. (I IRL LOL at the Zoo scene. :xD:) Damn was it long ago... :P |
