Avatar :D
Always makes me feel better, like the problems I have in my life are nothing.

Man, I have to at least see a bit of it in the next 10 mins..While I have the time.

I've been yearning to watch Avatar again for a long time now, but the only DVD player I have available at the moment is my laptop's drive and it's malfunctioning - it can't read any discs.

:(

Have a look at some clips via youtube.

Ah, but for some really odd reason, I've never wanted to watch singular clips on YouTube. I've always made myself watch all of it or none of it! I don't know why I have this rule or how it started, but maybe it's time to break it. :hmm:

Maybe it's because I've treated each viewing as a major, non-casual event of the day.

It's been the same way for me ever since I first watched Avatar. Either I watch it, or I don't. I do not support to watch only the most interesting highlights in the movie (OK, skipping the CE intro is fine for me, since I honestly enjoy the original more). I want to stay true to JC and Avatar and respect it, so therefor, I don't use it as some tool or ordinary movie which I can rewind, speed up, jump over chapters, or pause just to take a break. If I do that, there is no true avatar experience with it.

I can understand that, and I've done the same. However sometimes we can just be too busy to see all of it but it's great to just see something to get some morale. I like looking at the original trailer or listen to music if I can't see the whole thing.

The last movie I have seen is Dead Man. Very strange but nice in its b&w style!

guyguy 09-11-2011 10:01 AM

Seen contagion this friday
you just hope not hear someone cough while you watch that movie lol

I've just moved to university accommodation where all I can do is watch movies and TV shows... I just watched the Hangover Part II and wow is it just the same movie?
I saw Cowboys and Aliens before I came to France and I thought it wasn't the best but wasn't too bad either. Not really sure of my opinion on it :S

LOVEavatar 09-11-2011 05:33 PM

Star Trek (2009). Was just zapping between the tv-channels till I saw this was on. So I thought "Why not..."

It surpassed my expectations! :) I don't know what all of you hardcore Star Trek fans think of the movie, but I think it was excellent! It was sorta too short though :( Would've been nice with half an hour more or so. The movie development didn't feel too fast, but there seemed to be too few major incidents/parts in the movie. It's hard to explain. It gets a 4,5/5. :)

Rise of the Planet of the Apes (it was Cheap Tuesday, and my friend had bailed on me, so I was in the city and bored). It...wasn't half-bad, actually. The beginning made me facepalm (the whole thing with Ceasar's mother - they didn't know? REALLY? HOW. WHAT. MAKES NO SENSE), but it was quite enjoyable.

And the chalk window - both scenes with it - made me wibble a lot.

Thor!! it never gets old either :P lol

Moco Loco 09-14-2011 01:49 AM
