A.I. This was the first time I watched the whole movie. The originality is f***ing amazing! I just love every second of this, I even wept a few tears during the end. :'( One of the most touching movies I've ever seen by far! It's depressive, sad, scary but also quite happy sometimes. It's unique in its entirety, from here on it will be one of my most loved movies of all time. Steven Spielberg, you've done it again for me! :) 11/10!

And just seconds ago, Black Swan.

To be honest... I don't know what to think atm... I'll just sleep on the subject and then come back tomorrow.

I want to see that Black Swan movie eventually..

I saw The Mummy last night and The Mummy Returns today.

Black Swan was definitely one of my favorite movies from last year.

And LOVEAvatar... I didn't really like A.I. I don't know, maybe I was just expecting something different. The whole thing kind of felt "off" to me. The world... I couldn't buy into it. And I kept hoping they would drop the whole thing about the "Blue Fairy" but oh no.

I know it's popular though so idk, not everyone can like every movie that "almost everyone" likes I guess :)

Make sure you're in a good headspace when you do see Black Swan - I was warned off it when it was out in cinemas (I have anxiety, and was in a bad state), and when I finally got around to seeing it, I was SO GLAD my friends had vetted it for me. Really glad I saw it, but IMO, not something to watch if you're feeling fragile.

And yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay the Mummy and the Mummy Returns. Those are my comfort movies, I love them (third movie, what third movie, I heard rumours about a third movie, but they can't possibly be true...)

Last movie I saw was Tron: Legacy. Whee, that movie is fun.

The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor. I read the title and thought, "Dude, there were mummies in China?" :P

Nope, can't hear you, there is no 3rd Mummy movie, la, la, la, la, la *blocks ears*

On a more serious note, actually, yes, there ARE mummies in China! Admittedly, the ones I know about are Caucasian, which has caused all kinds of problems given from how long ago the bodies were, but there ARE Chinese mummies.

Mmkay, I'll keep that in mind.

Very interesting. I learn new things every day. :P

Sorry! I just....ugh, yeah. It's kind of like the Star Wars prequels! There are, clearly, no such thing. <.<

The Tarim mummies! First read about them in a book I have on mummies, but I find them utterly fascinating.

Advent 10-05-2011 11:04 AM

I see.
And yes, the star wars prequels are very ...strange. Though it is funny seeing 'Darth Vader' get manipulated by the old man. :P

Also, I looked up the 'alleged' third Mummy movie, and it seems kinda like the second. Undead armies and such.
In other news, I recently watched Mulan 1 & 2. Excellent Disney movies. :D

Thanks for the helpful advice ma tsmuke, I will make sure I'm like a vegetable when I see it. :P

The first two are the best aren't they! Ancient Egypt needs more movies made about it! :)

As stupid as this guy behaves in the prequels it's a wonder that Jar Jar did not manipulate him.

This made me laugh. :D I have not seen said film either (and perhaps I never will, looking at some of the reviews), though I have fond memories of the first two from way back when.

Human No More 10-05-2011 07:38 PM

I'm not sure if it was the first or second (never seen the third), but I love the part where they are faced with a huge crowd of zombies and just pretend to be one, and it works :D
Tried to find a video, but failed.

Empty Glass 10-05-2011 07:43 PM

Ah shoot, I know exactly what scene you're talking about and now I'm trying to find it myself. :D
