Avatar 2 Release Pushed to 2016 Says Jon Landau - MovieWeb.com
http://www.firstshowing.net/2012/pro...or-four-years/ http://sciencefiction.com/2012/01/11...rs-until-2016/ Avatar sequel STILL 4 years away!!!!!!! They must have hit a serious problem here, either technological or financial, as I can't believe that JC hasn't finished writing. Can't believe this has happened, terrible news! BOMBSHELL. From one of the reports: - "This will be crushing news to all of those people that suffered from Pandora withdrawal/depression after watching the first movie. Looks like it will be a long time before Sam Worthington and crew head back to that particular alien planet." |
I'm not upset. It's better to do it right than to do it quick. And given I'm really worried that Avatar 2 will pull a Matrix sequel act, I'm kinda glad.
I'm also wonder if this is because the Avatar theme park is expected to open in 2016. |

Well, at least it should be even better when it's finished... I do want it to take as long as it should to be done well :( |
Maybe they're just saying that to keep the film even more of a secret?
|
Ha, nice optimism there BotanicalMedley.
I'm with Crickett on this one. Maybe I'd feel differently if the first one had some kind of cliffhanger ending with no closure whatsoever, but I can be perfectly content with Avatar for as long as I have to be. |
Better late than never, as long as it doesn't suffer Duke Nukem syndrome.
