We got first snow of 2012 - YAY!

Well, first snow of 2012 where I live anyway! Hehehe. Is only going to be around for a shot time, so I thought I would video it. Last night I went out at 23:00 and filmed a bit and then this morning I filmed a bit more. I then spent most of the day editing it together.

In total 30 minutes of footage edited down to just under 3 minutes. Boy, I'm not very efficient! Anyway, thought you might like to see a bit of snow in the UK, which is nothing compared to what some countries get. They even have snow in Rome!

Enjoy:

Wow, isn't this kind of late for a first snow?

Alan 02-05-2012 10:15 PM

Not really for the UK...well...where I live anyway. Although last year we managed to have a white Christmas for the first time in a very long while, which was nice..and cold (-10C for a week). Ok not as cold as some places, but it was for the UK. We don't have a huge variation in temperature or weather really, so Snow always make headline news!

Yeah... First snow was yesterday here too. :)

Nothing like an epic neighborhoodwide snowball fight!! :shoop: (just got back from one.. Our side kinda lost HEAVILY.. But still fun!)

Human No More 02-06-2012 07:24 PM

Congratulations :)

Didn't get any here :(

Hey, Marley, a neighbourhood snowball fight?!?! That must have been quite a sight! :hi: nothing like that here though :(

What you didn't get any snow HNM? Very sad, only... Well, we're only at the start of Feb so plenty of time for you to get some of the white stuff ;)

Ateo and I have some very dear British friends that live near Cornwall, England, I don't know if they would have gotten any snow from the storm that you got.
These folks have a 3/4 ton pickup, and a 30 foot RV that they leave on our place, about 100 yards east of our house, on the same side of the airstrip as our house is.
They will be here for a month this April.

Today it was a balmy 78...gotta love living in Florida :P.

Shorts and a tee-shirt all the time, well not really. I like dressin classy, dress pants and a button up for me.

I lived in Hillsboro, Pinellis, and Polk Counties in Florida for a total of nine years, had enough, and moved.

Nah... Cornwall is the 'warm' end of the UK getting the Gulf stream which tends to keep it warmer. Although the county nextdoor (Devon) got some snow on Dartmoor. It's still mega cold over here (for the UK) -4C. Although Prowler was saying it had warmed up in Sweden to -15C! Brrrrr!

Oooo! Lets see...last Saturday I was working outside in the cold and I had on: T-shirt, two 'thin jumpers', thick hoody jumper, scarf, hat, thermal trousers (aka pants) Two pairs of socks and two pairs of overalls, fingerless gloves and made sure I had a job that required some physical exersion! I was warm enough - Hahahahaha XD

This Friday we're getting some more snow - YAY!!!! Just hope it doesn't stop me going to see my Avatar mate in Birmingham to see Star Wars 3D!

Typically the least in the country along with the southwest; but it seemed to be very localised 'no snow' where I am - 30 min on the train out of town and there was plenty...
