That was a bit of sarcasm. The Bible Thumpers love beating gays over the head with the Bible, telling us how WE are going to be the undoing of the sanctity of Marriage, when they say NOTHING about the ADULTERY that is tearing apart the "Traditional Judeo-Christian" marriage. Well if they are going to beat US up, perhaps they ought to follow the Old Testament, and take the Adulturers outside the city gates, and stone them. NO? OK, perhaps that IS too cruel, then just throw them in prison.
