This ranks on the stupidity scale right alongside the people like Ateyo and I are going to destroy the "Sanctity of Marriage" by being together, but all these husbands going out on their wives is just "boys being boys". Want to RESTORE the sanctity of Marriage? make ADULTERY punishable by a MANDATORY FIVE YEAR prison sentence, with NO PAROLE.

I didn't realise the girl scouts were actually so good as an organisation, since I've heard some extremely bad things about the male scouts...

The latter half seems completely disconnected from the former - I was sure you'd be in favour of reform. Marriage is essentially a contract, and should be liberalised, not tightened. If people want to have an arrangement with consent that suits them, they can and should.

That was a bit of sarcasm. The Bible Thumpers love beating gays over the head with the Bible, telling us how WE are going to be the undoing of the sanctity of Marriage, when they say NOTHING about the ADULTERY that is tearing apart the "Traditional Judeo-Christian" marriage. Well if they are going to beat US up, perhaps they ought to follow the Old Testament, and take the Adulturers outside the city gates, and stone them. NO? OK, perhaps that IS too cruel, then just throw them in prison.

The principal of a baptist private school I went to for a year told me personally that my parents were going to hell for getting divorced, and I know she really believed it. Marriage is just one of those things that doesn't hurt anybody else in any way, and I can't understand why people have such strong feelings about it in general.

That's why it needs reform, and also why I'm happy my parents never married.
