Growing a brain
Nerve cells grow on nanocellulose
Researchers at the Chalmers university of technology in Gothenburg, Sweden can now show that it is possible to grow neurones on bundles of threads made of nanocellulose. This means that one can get neurons to grow and form a network in three dimensions, as in a real brain. This allows researchers to be able to study chemical and electric transmissions of messages and other functions of brains. The results can become of great importance in the making of biological computers and for the treatment of neurological diseases. The research will be presented on American Chemicals societys conference in San Diego in mars 25. Perhaps this research also is the first step on growing Avatars for ourselves. This is promising.
I know some people who could really use one of their own. :P |

Not bad though, so many uses for this... :) |
This will be really good in the future for anyone who suffers impaired brain function. ;)
