If there are a bunch more that are no good, I honestly would not care. It wouldn't change what we already have, and I'd rather JC try and botch it than not try at all. I don't expect him to botch it though.

Agreed---the "fact" that he is going to focus only on Avatar movies for the next several "should" indicate the quality---He is rather exact in his work after all.....

I just hope any extra sequels are well thought out and as good as the original - I don't want to see a Star Wars happen with it, with some terrible extra films just to make new money.
If it is just 2 and 3's scripts overrunning, that would be good :)

As for Battle Angel, if that's off now then that's good, means he can concentrate on Avatar :)

I'll take quality over quantity. Cameron does have a pretty good record with sequels. Hope he can maintain that.

The quality of his movies aren't really a concern to me at this moment because of the fact that JC has always been very exact. I just hope that he doesn't end up overwhelming himself and disappointing. I remain positive and hopeful that he will maintain his reputation with sequels, though. :)

Oh God, I sure HOPE not. I absolutely HATE prequels. I like the chronology to move forward with the release dates of the movies. I saw about ten minutes of "Star Wars five, (or it it Star Wars one?), at a friend's house, and refuse to watch a single prequel. Done properly, you should be able to have a "movie marathon party", and run the films in the order of their release dates, and have the special effects STEADILY improve with each one, which is NOT what would happen with Star Wars, so I stay from any of the prequels of any movie.
If Avatar turns out to be a prequel, then I will keep, frequently enjoy, and cherish Avatar one, two, and three, but never even watch Avatar four.
