I had a chance, but when I saw them I cloudn't. I take them in hand, but I hadn't courage. Maybe next time (I've seen Avatar, so teylu can be an image :D) :)

The Zophobas morio I cooked at the meetup were tasty.
I made cinnamon-sugar, chocolate covered, and "french fry" style worms. Everyone else seemed to like them too; I wanted to bring them to Seattle as well, but someone left them out in the sun on the camping trip and they spoiled. -.-' |
I ate them, one more thing I can say I've done :)

And, here is proof of my cooking prowess. (photo by our ace photographer, Mikko Wilson ;D ) |
Nice!
Great photo of you cooking up the teylu, Raiden. :) And Irayo for letting us all sample them at the campsite. I gathered up my courage and tried a cinnamon-sugar teylu, and yeah, it tasted good. I just had to get past that it looks like what it is, and then forget that and just pop one in my mouth, chew and swallow. Of course it helped that it was all covered in cinnamon-sugary sweetness. ;) |

Once again, you look like the kind of guy I wouldn't mess with at the bar. :P |
Epic photo :D
I tried all three types... I think I liked the cinnamon sugar ones most, but all three were nice :) |
Reading all this is making me long to go back home :( Here in Pensacola, we have a vietnam oriental market, that I will have to look at sometime. I've never actually had a chance to go in there, but since it mainly caters to the vietnamese community here, there might be some larvae there.
I'll see what's in there, and report back when I have the time. |
