I was going thru my movie site that show release dates and ran into this...Avatar 3D, well I will warn you all and you should all know how things get pushed, but atleast it is listed now, Titanitic 3D is release septmber 18, so this looks promising.

Is this going to be the SAME COLLECTOR'S EDITION cut WITH the 16 minutes that never should have been cut from the movie? (Yes, I know they HAD to do it because of the limitations of IMAX). If it is the same content as my collector's edition DVD, then I would buy a Blue-Ray player just for this movie, if not, then no.

Ok, I guess most of us don't have 3D TVs....yet ( ;) ) But I bet we're still going to buy it! Hahahha :D

Irayo ma James Camaron, for letting us see this. I watched it on my HP notebook, so it got it's first view from me under the worst possible light. While it didn't look "true" 3D, it DID look better, crisper, and VERY fluid. Looks like I'm going to have to get some 3D glasses, and a Blu-Ray player JUST for this movie. Eywa ngahu, oeya tsmukan.

Sweet! Irayo for the post ma Alan. I don't have a 3D TV either, but that won't stop me from buying one either. :D

I wonder if you can get a 3D blu ray player for a reasonable price?
It would be worth it to splurge out and get one just to see Avatar in all its glory.

My (pretty standard AFAIK) blu-ray player would play 3D BDs if I had one, so I think the TV is the only problem.

Hehehe.. Yeah, think I will be like you FIyerwall, I'll be getting the 3D Bluray, but not have the TV to play it on.

Pa'li Makto - you will need a suitable Bluray player that can play the 3D discs as well as a 3D TV. Could be an early letter to Santa ;). Think I might be writing too!
