Thank you very much for sharing there are some outstanding examples spoken on in that article, seen from the eyes of a Christian or Jewish world view.

I beleve it goes much deeper down into the heart core root of human understanding.
I have said before everyone has a diffrent exprence with the film on many levels.
I need to be careful in saying this and its allways open to debate, but I think many people who dealt with the Avatar Blues blamed the strong feelings and emotions on "The film itself" but for a suprising number of people the core source of these feelings came not from the Film but in our own inner "reflection" on our self seen from our heartfelt core understanding.
Many people in the world today are in conflict with "themselves" our heartfelt understanding truly sees a real issue with the path our people are headed down, yet in our culture this form of expresion is locked inside.
Avatar "pointed to this "Heartfelt Bond" inside and gave it great Value people made there own choise to "re-bond with this part of our deep core understanding this Bond is broken in our culture our political system and our Life way" Our Core Self wants this back ,and this is behind the statement Seeing our world with a "New pair of eyes" in the Irayo film . This feeling of wrongness drives a very strong emotive responce from our core understnding and often puts us in conflict with "ourselves" many people get stuck with the feeling that only the Na'Vi people could live in this manor, Asside from the films fantasy elements the Na'Vi share a Great many connections with our own native peoples
and there issues they face today.
we see there "reflection" from our heart and our deep memorys represented in the films mirror story.

" The people struck with the Avatar blues are "legitimately grieving" the tragedy of our world – grieving the destruction of our environment, the wars, the cruelties, the isolation, and all the ways in which we as individuals are rarely really seen by others."

A good way to lessen the AVATAR blues would be to as often as you can, get as far away from "civilization" AND it's trappings as you can, in the wilderness, or on a sailboat on "blue water " with land nowhere in sight for about a week. THAT will recharge your emotional batteries.

It's good to see a writer that can validate people's thoughts and feelings while they experienced PAD (Avatar Blues).

I wish more people could take the time to try to understand others instead of dismissing them and telling them to move on.

There is concept revolving around Avatar and "Some" peoples experences with the film that and the deep feelings and emotions brought to the surface that some still feel even 3 years after the films release.
It centers on the Concept of "Rebirthing" or Spiritual rebonding to ones heartfelt understanding, "bridged" by Jake and Neytiris relationship and our deep core memorys , this creative Avatar music video touches on this and it would be intresting to see peoples opinions.

THAT should have been the official Movie Trailer! I particularly liked the clip where Trudy "Lays Out" the RDA puke.
I don't know too much about "rebirthing" through a movie, or "Core Ancient DNA memories", I had these views, and a "Blue Heart" (We called it walking a good path), decades before the movie because of where, how, and by who, I was raised. But if it WORKS for the people who need it, GREAT!!

I think if you never imagined worlds like Pandora or that type of future for Earth, I get how it affects people this way, though that didn't happen with me.

There is an intresting fact revolving around The "Avatar Blues" people from all around the world exprenced these issues collectivly each from there own viewpoint reflecting on there own issues , "But" many of there storys share deep common roots.
I have heard storys from China , Russia , Indonesia, The United Kingdom, and Africa. They all share Common roots and feelings regardless of what culture and . Why is this so ? Its true Many could not "Bridge back from Pandora" I don't think Cameron ever intended this to happen but its not a simple paradise is not a real place we can ever visit, its also reflection on Real world issues and injustices repressed and locked inside, now given a voice and connective feelings.
Our core self wanted the life way of the Na'Vi people but it goes much deeper then one thinks
it has to do with how we "See" and understand Avatar on many levels. The film is very imersive and Dream like, and for some its an Altered consciousness experence. I have no negitive feelings for those who created this experence I think It drives some very important questions on the issues we all face.
In native understanding there is the mytholigy of the "Skin walker" its a spiritual example where a man puts on the skin of an animal and "Becomes that animal" "seeing through its eyes and walking in its footsteps.
Avatar adds the relationship primal "Bond" betwean Jake an Neytiri to this mix, And "The Skin" is the Life Way of the Na'Vi people. our core self realy likes what it "sees and feels" that is way I mentioned the "Rebirthing example" I must be very carefull here or I will get the same treatment Selfridge gives Grace in the Map room "What have you been smoking there just g*d Dam trees , There is a lot of debate on rather this is posable but I will tell you this, I think Its at least a posability with Avatar as the film in some gives huge value to peoples core repressed understanding. It invites "Us" to Re-connect to our own inner Bond. Here Is a question. Why do people want watch the film so many times ?
