Rain, wind and rain. It's fine though, I enjoy the sound of it against my window.

Ja'k Dawsiin 03-26-2017 05:34 PM

Wind12 03-27-2017 08:24 AM

Here its actually a bit cooler, cloudy, and we are finally getting some rain, had a nice thunderstorm Friday morning. Right now it is lightly raining, and everything is greening up.

Na'vi a Kepekmė 03-27-2017 10:20 PM

It's still snowing.

Wind12 03-27-2017 11:59 PM

^ We have less than 6 inches of snow, all winter long, of course we dont avg. nearly as much as up your way, but we do normally have 20 inches by the end of the season.

Ja'k Dawsiin 04-09-2017 11:09 PM

it is at last starting to warm up...in friggin' April! i want to get a hammock for my back porch/deck and under the pull-down awning.:):):)

Welcome to Punta Canada! 20°C here!

Oh, tomorrow the temp. will drop down to 6°C...

specificracing 04-11-2017 03:19 PM

The weather is so unpredictable in my side of the world.

Wind12 04-13-2017 07:13 AM

mild and mostly cloudy here, had alot of rain last week, now though spring is in full force here, sadly I broke my tablet... again, so yea there's that. hrh

Ja'k Dawsiin 04-24-2017 12:13 AM

greetings from Portland, Oregon, flew in about two hours ago, staying at an extended stay inn for a month and a half, here on a business trip.

56 degrees F, slightly windy, overcast, wet, raining since i got here. 10 day extended forecast shows rain 8 out of the 10 days. might as well be in Seattle. *sighs*

Wind12 04-24-2017 06:14 AM

I hope the stay in the northwest treats you well ma Ja'k, here it has been mostly clear and mild the past couple of days, tomorrow is supposed to be a bit warmer with a southwest wind gusting to near 40 mph at times

Ja'k Dawsiin 04-24-2017 11:44 PM

it has been raining all day here in Portland OR, jobsite is totally awash, flooded, and muddy. ugh. rain, rain, rain.

Wind12 04-25-2017 07:00 AM

Here it was mostly sunny with a strong south wind today, with blowing maple tree seeds spinning around everywhere.

Ja'k Dawsiin 08-15-2017 10:51 PM

i just returned after a month in Bremerton, Wa, three months in Portland, Or, and the last several weeks visiting family in Iowa, Peoria, Illinois, and Mansfield, Ohio, after missing the 4th of July holiday because of work, and as soon as i have returned to my house in Virginia, it is all rainy and overcast for two days now, ugh. i need sunshine!

Wind12 08-16-2017 08:05 AM

Here we have had two weeks of less than 90F weather which is awesome for this time of year, sadly though the humidity has come back, in July we had a few days where the dew point was 81F or so and one day the heat index hit 119F that was nasty. Right now my city is gearing up for a total eclipse of the sun that will happen at 1:07 pm next Monday here, they are expecting up to 500,000 visitors to visit here this weekend and early next week because of it, so they are saying to be prepared for traffic and internet/cell phone issues. Still though its truly I once in a few lifetimes thing to have the path of totality cross your spot on the Earth, and I am looking forward to it, I asked for the day off work last December. I hope the sky is clear, as of right now that part is still undecided lol.

Sight Unseen 08-18-2017 04:02 AM

A bit too warm and depressingly sunny, but not so bad I can complain. IDK what I expected when I moved to San Jose.

Wind12 08-18-2017 04:32 AM

Today was sunny and nice with lower humidity.

Ja'k Dawsiin 08-19-2017 03:01 AM

nice today, good weekend weather in the forecast...then Monday, the Solar Eclipse. oh boy.

Wind12 09-02-2017 06:29 PM

Well we were one of the five percent of the area of totality that was cloud covered duing the event, so we really didn't get to see much, but it did get dark as night for over two minutes which was neat to experience at 1:07pm and the darkness descended fast, even with the cloud cover you could see it coming in. Still though, that was kind of sad in th big scheme of things. I hope the folks in Texas and Louisiana can dry out as fast as possible, I cant imagine getting a years worth of rain in 3 or 4 days, just insane. They are going to have a long road to recovery down there. As for here today the weather is nice, mostly clear, but with alot of haze in the sky from numerous wildfires in the west US and Canada which is making the sky almost seem like there is a thin overcast.

Ja'k Dawsiin 09-03-2017 02:07 AM

it has been dreary overcast and raining off and on all day, so i cleaned out the garage and started unpacking some boxes i still haven't gotten to because of business travel most of the year so far, a month in Pensacola, FL, three months in Portland, OR, and a month in Charleston SC. i want to stay home dammit, even in the rain!

Wind12 09-03-2017 08:40 AM

I hope that you can find a way to be home more, traveling like that must take a toll ma Ja'k, Keep an eye on Irma, hopefully she stays out at sea, one can hope anyway. As for here it was mostly sunny with haze light winds and low 80's for the high today.

Ja'k Dawsiin 09-04-2017 10:56 PM

well, there is good news and bad news on the hurricane front...good news is that there are no longer two storms brewing, as Tropical Storm Lida is pretty much gone out the area and headed way out to sea over cold water, which stalls out tropical storms and hurricanes. both tropical storms and hurricanes need warm water to generate strength and size. the bad news is that Hurricane Irma is now a category 3 storm with winds at 115mph and strengthening, NWS is saying possibly a category 4 by Tuesday. what's worse, is that everyone is guessing on where Irma will go, no definitive tracks at this point.

i guess i better get my first hurricane kit together in the new house.

Wind12 09-05-2017 12:00 AM

Yea Irma is looking like a monster, it looks like it MAY stay south of you, but its looking worse for Florida, but yea when these storms are more than five days out the track can be very iffy there is even an opening for it getting into the gulf. Once again It may be left behind by the steering currents therefore it may take a wierd and slow track once it trys to turn north.
As for here, well the sky is filled with smoke to the point that you cant even see the blue in the sky and where it has almost looked like the sun was getting blotted out.

Ja'k Dawsiin 09-05-2017 06:50 PM

holy mother of the forest, it's a Category 5 Hurricane already!:shock::shock: according to the NWS, it's also the strongest guster in recorded history!

what an odd coincidence!

Wind12 09-13-2017 07:14 AM

Been a long several days, talking with a friend on FB that lives in Florida and hopeing she was in the best spot, thankfully shes fine though, wow it was quite the storm, thankfully it lost some of its strength as it stayed over Cuba longer( although it was bad for them) and because of that it wasn't quite as bad in Florida but still one heck of a storm there. Well now there is Jose, whom is still looking at his map and not sure where he wants to go, (hopefully out to sea) and as for here, well we had some cirrus clouds from Irma that pushed as far west as Kansas. but other than that, mild, light winds and we could use some rain here.

Ja'k Dawsiin 09-17-2017 03:23 PM

can you believe Hurricane Jose is still hanging around and causing rains, overcast conditions, wind, erratic forecasts, and a general logistical nightmare for anyone living or working near the coast. first they say it's not a threat, we relax, then it's a threat and we have to pack up our jobboxes and trailers, then it's downgraded again and we start bringing stuff back to the site...now it's being stupid again!! arrggghhhhh!

Wind12 09-18-2017 02:40 AM

Jose Cuervo is drunk and wandering the Atlantic and now Maria has formed and has become a hurricane and is heading for some of the islands that Irma hit, and some of the models now Have Jose doing yet another loop in its track and yesterday some of the models spit out a solution where Maria and Jose got close enough to start the "fujiwara" effect( if two hurricanes get to close to one another they start "orbiting" a common center between the two) and had Maria being flung away from the US while Jose was flung into the east coast. either way, wayyy to many Hurricanes. As for here well we had some thunderstorms yesterday and today was cloudy for the most part and refreshingly cooler, more storms and humid weather are forecast for tomorrow.

Ja'k Dawsiin 09-28-2017 06:41 PM

all of the hurricane triplets, Irma, Jose, and Maria, are gone at last! it's sunny out, yippee! :)

Wind12 10-01-2017 08:08 AM

We finally cooled off some this week and it felt good, we still hit the low 80's a few times but with the lower humidity the nights have been awesome, it looks like warm south winds will return tomorrow and the humidity will come back soon, October will start out like May here, could use more rain though, and we might get it this week. I'm glad all the hurricanes are gone, the may visit Alan's neck of the woods with some sqally weather this weekend as north Atlantic depressions.

Ja'k Dawsiin 10-03-2017 07:57 PM

autumn is starting off awesome this year, cool and warm, breezy, October looks to be a nice Indian Summer as long as the hurricane season has peaked off, and kim jong whatshisface doesn't launch his little missiles on us.

Wind12 10-06-2017 07:42 AM

last few days have been cloudy with on and off again tompa :) right now it is still humid for October here and there may be a decent line of thunderstorms tomorrow night. Already have my first cold of the season, annoying as heck, but I'm doing better than the virus will be ;)

specificracing 10-23-2017 01:22 PM

I live in a very beautiful island. At night, the sky is always bright because of the stars. I can always see horizon when I look up in the sky. Sometimes, there would be a crab party or a snail party on the sidewalk. In the morning, the butterflies are flying everywhere. It's a city inside a forest.

Wind12 11-01-2017 05:26 AM

Well, the weather decided to dress up as Christmas for Halloween here, it was cloudy and in the 30'sF all day today, after a low of 23F this morning before the clouds moved in. then by the middle of the afternoon, it snowed a little(not enough to stick or make the ground wet, but enough that it looked like it was coming down decently for a bit) they are saying by Sunday we may be over 70F again, lol

Ja'k Dawsiin 12-22-2017 07:40 PM

i wish it was snowing here in Ohio...*sighs* going to Iowa on Saturday, snow for sure! :)

We finally got a bit of snow the night before last ( about an inch) so we had some snow around for Christmas which is nice, cold now, temp in the teens F.
I hope you have a Merry Christmas Ja'k. :)

Lone warrior 12-26-2017 12:31 AM

Well, it snowed in Budapest on the 22nd. :) It was only around 3 cetimeters... Meh. It got warmer a bit on the 23rd, so now there isn't any snow at all. But the early moring, and midnight fogs are a bit dense. I'm still getting the yellow warnings.
