[Confirmed] Stephen Lang will be back for the next 3 Avatar films
 

There was a lot of speculations before but this is coming straight from JC himself:

Steven was so memorable in the first film, we’re privileged to have him back,” Cameron said. “I’m not going to say exactly HOW we’re bringing him back, but it’s a science fiction story, after all. His character will evolve into really unexpected places across the arc of our new three-film saga. I really look forward to working with such a gifted actor, who’s also become a good friend.

I'm seriously hoping that this is the non-linear storytelling thing going on. If this is a post-Avatar1 event, then... I don't even know what to say to that. :\

Yeah, I mean to me, Grace coming back would be weird enough, but Quaritch :S and JC specifically mentioned the three film arc, which I sincerely hope doesn't mean he's in all of them as a living entity.
