Classic Games Thread.
 

I was just playing Rebel Assault II in DOSBox (it kicked my butt, sadly :(). What other old games does anyone play around here?

I love those old games, have them installed via DOSBox as well :D

Well as you can tell from the other games threads, I play a lot of old Mac games, stuff like Pathways Into Darkness, the Marathon series and Myst are particular favourites. Other than that, I have a Megadrive I play a lot of old stuff on.

So I figured it out--my mouse sensitivity is too high. DOS games were never designed for uber-precise laser mice, plus the emulator gives the game too many CPU cycles so it goes nuts. Either it's slow and unplayable or it's so fast that you must have inhuman reflexes to accomplish anything.

I really liked Panzer Dragoon, Doom 1 and 2, Heretic, Descent II, The Dig, Wing Arms, and Shattered Steel.
