Actuality it's pretty rare to find a blue Lobster, Only one in 2 million are blue.
They donated this guy to a local sealife exhibit so at least He won't be eaten...

Lobsters (infraorder Astacidea, to be precise) come in a wide variety of colors; some are purple, red, or orange, some have stripes, and some have spots.

Blue is a rare color morph of some species, and if I recall, the lobster found was of genus Homarus, which includes the most commercially important species.

I remember hearing and seeing that awhile back, that is a neat lobster for sure :) :)
