Stanley, that's about right! I'm actually a sophomore, but I tend to look sort of young for my age I think haha.

Haha you're very welcome... a sophmore in high school or college? And there's nothing wrong with looking younger than what you are :)

You should take more :) Great features, you're very pretty.

I used to model actually. But, after I quit, I never know what to do in front of the camera anymore. My friends are always goofy and I just stand there and smile. LOL :D

Really? That's funny. I'm 19 and just started modeling last year, so now I have a better idea of what to do when my friends take pictures. That is, unless I'm being a goof as well, which happens more often than not

Haha I loved my senior year of high school... me and my friends all started at 8:40 and got out at 12:45 :D then we'd all drive over to my house and hang out there for the rest of the day. It was freakin awesome. Plus we rarely had homework, and the occasional huge project. It was such a kick back year

Gunny 03-31-2010 07:33 PM

Yes! Senior year was freaking awesome! Made deals with the security guard to let us go out of campus for lunch, off periods, practically no homework. That was definitely an awesome year! I miss it :D

Wow, it sounds like all of you were suffering from a very serious disease called Senioritis. I admit that I had a case of it too in my senior year of HS but it wasn't as bad as that :P.

I passed all my classes with As Bs and one C

Gunny 03-31-2010 07:38 PM

I had senioritis my Junior year! LOL

I had a very very bad case my Senior year though :D Just goofed around on projects yet still made good grades, its always fun to take the rules of the project more as guidelines ;) And of course my HS was pretty darn easy so grades were no problem, though I was not prepared for college at all :P

That sounds like a sick senior year! Mine was good, except all of my classes were really heavily science oriented so I had a fair bit of work.

I also did the same thing as a couple other people... Once you hit university/college, you realize how uncool you actually were. But on the other hand, it really opens your eyes to new people, experiences, and a whole bunch of other stuff!

As for the photography stuff, if you're looking at working with models do a bunch of TF (Trade for CD/Pics/etc) shoots for free with people from your area on ModelMayhem.com. It's a great place, I literally started in November and got scouted by an agency last month. Not full-time obviously, but it's fun :)

Send me a PM if you want and I can talk to you more about it, help you out, or we could even do some shoots if you're in my area or if I know anyone from yours!

I think I got a B in Accounting. I didn't like it either. My C's were mostly in math type of classes. Other than that, I got A's and B's.

Sounds good... I'm not so knowledgeable about American schools, but that sounds about equivalent to Sixth Form. Now that was a great time, sounds very similar. Most of my days were 8:40 to 12:20, and being able to do so much more than everyone else was good, but what I also liked was how teachers treated people far more like equals rather than idiots.

Yeah, I mean, I mostly did runway, but I did some pictures for portfolios.
Lol. And most of the pictures I did you can't really do for just a snapshot, so I just smile haha.
Good luck with the modeling career! It can be brutal :P

Honestly though, I'm just in it because it's something kinda cool and interesting to do. As soon as I don't enjoy it anymore I'm gone- I have about 7 other 'full time' hobbies that I continue to do to fall back on ;)

And Stanley- I ended up with basically the same marks out of highschool, high B's and mid A's.
However, then I failed my first year of University.

.. At least I found out what I don't like to do!

Awesome thanks for the tips! I eventually want to work with models but doubt I will be good enough lol. Only experience I have is from shooting air shows with a friends camera. I'm thinking of getting a D90. Where are you located?

Wanderling 04-02-2010 04:43 AM

Oh gosh, high school...that was, uh, twelve years ago for me at this point. :shy:

We had great fun senior year. :D One of the most memorable events was senior skip day...oh yes, we planned it all out, the teachers knew about it, and a bunch of us actually met at school to carpool out to western MA and have fun at Six Flags (rollercoasters and such). :D :D (And I actually managed to be valedictorian on top of it all :shy: .)

Here's me, anyway, since this is a picture thread!

^^ agreed :D You still got your whole lives ahead of you guys/girls. But take it slow too, once you graduate, have to get a job, pay taxes, you might realize high school wasn't so bad after all. Lose some gain some

(BTW I'll be 19 this month)

ha! I have TWO years left. Ugh. I cannot stand the immaturity lol.
Of course...I suppose I'm kind of immature too, but still.
I don't like high school, but I don't want to grow up either. Can I go off to Neverland like in Peter Pan? :D

Just wait until you are almost graduating college (next month) and then facing a crappy economy (at least in the US anyway since I don't know where you're from).

Whoa!!! Who said anything about being serious all the time???? Just because you are getting older doesn't mean you have to be serious. Seriousness probably leads to more heart attacks and strokes than anything else. In fact, I know of several older people who aren't serious all the time either. My husband being a prime example :).
