Death of Quaritch

Why did Neytiri shoot Quaritch 2x in the chest instead of once? I mean why two instead just one arrow?

Empty Glass 01-07-2015 10:30 PM

One to kill, two to kill more quickly. And she certainly wasn't in a good mood.

Omatikaya Tsamsiyu 01-08-2015 10:52 AM

So Neytiri did it so Quarith woulden't suffer ftom pain as and die quicker?

Clarke 01-08-2015 11:11 AM

To make sure he was dead.

Omatikaya Tsamsiyu 01-08-2015 04:27 PM

but he would die from 1 arrow anyways why two? Any other thoughts WHY?

iron_jones 01-08-2015 11:31 PM

It's called the double tap.

Omatikaya Tsamsiyu 01-09-2015 06:03 AM

Or maybe she did that becouse of humanitary reasons. could it be?

Omatikaya Tsamsiyu 01-10-2015 04:37 AM

After the first arrow, he was still standing. He was going to die, but as long as he wasn't dead yet and still in an amp suit, he was still a threat.

But it was cuz humanity

Omatikaya Tsamsiyu 01-10-2015 08:45 AM

Alright! first you say that the Na'vi aren't humanitary and now you you saysomething completely diffrent-WTF?

Unknown 01-10-2015 10:42 AM

Just because the Na'vi have humanitarian customs when it comes to killing animals for food etc doesn't mean they can't feel a little satisfaction from taking out an enemy. Neytiri was pretty pissed at Quaritch and really didn't seem to care about his wellbeing in death (rather the opposite). :P

They have complex emotions just like humans, it's not like you can count on all Na'vi having the exact same ideals in all situations.

ahoragi 01-10-2015 03:21 PM

I think it was due to emotional frustration towards the individual. The dude literally destroyed everything they had going. I would flip the (beep) out if someone came here and destroyed my home, killing my father, family, and friends in the process.

He deserved four arrows for what he did but was lucky he only got two. That's humanitarian in a way..

Omatikaya Tsamsiyu 01-10-2015 04:01 PM

So it wasn't humanity them. So did she want Quaritch to suffer more during his death?

Dude, she shot him, he was still standing, so she shot him again. That's the obvious thing to do.

Wind12 01-11-2015 02:09 AM

I say she was making sure he couldn't do anymore harm, way to go Neytiri :) :)

Omatikaya Tsamsiyu 01-11-2015 09:12 AM

but why Iron_Jones said that the Na'vi aren' humanitary?

Raptor 01-13-2015 10:04 AM
